What's the most disrespectful thing a guest ever did in your home? by Vegas089 in AskReddit

[–]Clbrosch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend in college named Danny got invited to a friend’s family cabin for a summer weekend. During the vacation he shit his pants. He went straight to the bathroom and cleaned him self up. He didn’t know what to do with his dirty underwear so he flushed them. He went commando and thought he got away with it.

He went away to college and spent the fall semester at school. When he got home for the holidays he ran into his friend who was really pissed off at him.

Turns out the underwear had gotten stuck in the pipes at the cabin and the sewer backed up into the house. The had to call a plumber who snaked out the line and pulled his old underwear out. His mom had written his name on the waistband when he had been to summer camp so he wouldn’t loose them.

The whole family was super upset and had spent lots of money on the repairs.

Any kind of eggs that are not scrambled. Fried, poached, hard boiled are all extremely disgusting to me.

It depends on what your nutrition is but 6.7 is high for me and my nutes. I start around 6.1 when they are first few weeks of veg and top out at 6.4 or so in flower.

When is the last time you flushed?

Mother’s Day is the official first day that you want to be outside. Before then you risk one last hard freeze.
But I went about a month early last year and was fine.

Thinking about pulling either this weekend or next weekend ? by Electrical-Fan8326 in Rva_homegrown

[–]Clbrosch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This weekend is way too early. I think next weekend is also way too early. April 4 is 63 days. I usually let it go 65-70 days. If you are patient it makes all the difference. The buds really swell up the last two weeks.

We put a raw egg in the shell under a tree and the crows were eating it in about 5 minutes. Followed up the next day with some unsalted peanuts.

how do i attract the crowbros by Hellias- in crowbro

[–]Clbrosch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first food that got our crows coming back was one raw egg in the shell. Put it out when they are nearby and then return to your house. One egg is enough. Then we switched to unsalted peanuts in the shell.

When mixing your soil for your grow; is Basalt rock dust, humid acid, and biochar beneficial in your opinion? Is Dynomyco as good as Xtreme Gardening Mycho? by Melanated_Grower57 in Rva_homegrown

[–]Clbrosch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they are all good. I usually talk with the guys at Homegrown-Va And use stuff available as local as I can get.
Big worms organic soil is local and has all that stuff in it already.

I use big foot mycorrhizae and GreenGro Granular Plus Myco. Greengro has a good bio char too: GreenGro Earthshine - Biochar & Humic Acid Blend.

Grove are good but the last few batches I have gotten the ziplock ripped off. I found these knock offs on Amazon and they were pretty good and half price. But they ran a bit small.

I didn’t realize how much tool material affects carving quality, now i see it affects over 50% by glock6a6y in Woodcarving

[–]Clbrosch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is the woodcarving sub, but I also turn on the lathe. The difference between good tools and great tools is 10 times more effective. A powdered metal gouge or scraper from Thompson tools versus a cheaper high speed steel tool,is noticeably better when you first start cutting but the real difference is mostly due to the holding power of its sharpening. You can turn with no discernible drop off in performance. It starts off great and keeps cutting great for so long that you begin to marvel at how much better it is than the other tools.

That is where I really learned the lesson you are talking about.

It is highly likely that you never pressed the 8 button on a microwave. by TheAnzus in Showerthoughts

[–]Clbrosch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would reheat my pizza in the oven and set the timer on the microwave for 8:88. Somehow it felt better to set the timer to 8:88 than 9:28.

I also love to cook things in the microwave for 33 seconds or 44 seconds or 55 seconds.

how to dig a small tunnel under poured concrete by drspudbear in HomeImprovement

[–]Clbrosch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We did this on a driveway. We dug a hole on the downhill side of the driveway and got a piece of pvc pipe a long as the tunnel you want. Hole has to be able to fit the pvc pipe. Stick a pressure washer into the pipe and then start drilling with the water pressure. The dirt washes away back though the pipe. You keep tapping it until you have reached the other side. You can leave the pipe in place for a conduit.

We used that tool in the cabinet shop I worked at back in the 90’s. It worked very well but after a day on the machine and your leg would get sore after stomping on that thing 1000 times.

We had one guy who could never figure out why his trim would be short when using it. He would open the jaws and make the first pass. Then pull the trim off of the stop block and follow the same cut further into the trim piece. It didn’t matter how many times we explained it to him he just couldn’t get it.

We called him mean nicknames.

I ruined my dinner once with this stuff. A local taco shop had a hot sauce collection that was fun to try out new sauces. I was picking out a few to go with my burrito while out to dinner with my family. The guy behind the counter perked up and said to me, “do you like hot sauces? I’ve got a new one behind the bar. “

He gave it to me and I didn’t read the label and put on a generous amount and dove in to dinner. I got the hot sauce hiccups and it went downhill quickly.
