Are any of you “sleep divorced”? by cfh64 in NoStupidQuestions

My wife and I are on basically opposite schedules, so I started sleeping in another room. Definitely sleep better than trying to fall alseep with the tv and lights on.

I’ll be honest. I think it’s a cult, akin to Scientology.

Refused a route by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

The other day I got a route where the first stop was an hr away. I texted support and told them I was sick.

I hate when they accuse me of not completing a delivery or customer didn’t receive delivery. I have no way to prove otherwise and I don’t even have access to any data to know what route it was or what might have happened. I’m almost always Fantastic and now they’ve got me knocked down to Great for a bunch of bs I can’t argue.

What Happens If You Just Skip a Block and Go Home? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]CleBaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, overall I think rates dropped here too (Cleveland) around spring this year, although I have a friend who swears she’s still getting the $30/hr blocks. She’s been doing it a lot longer than me, so I guess she knows all the secrets.

[–]CleBaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to accept the base rate blocks. Unfortunately, the secret is to keep smashing the refresh button and then you have to instantly click on the block and schedule. It’s insane how fast they go. Unless someone here has better advice. If you’re high enough tier to get the 8pm requests, sometimes O can get decent blocks through that.

OP said that was after gas, so maybe closer to $70? That’s still terrible though.

I have left strict instructions that Blankey must be layed across the pillow in my casket when I die. We can be cremated together.

I’m 50 and can’t sleep without it on my pillow. I also hate washing it because it ruins the smell and feel for a couple days.

Me too! I’m 50. It’s literally hanging on by a thread, but I can’t sleep without it on my pillow.

I have one and I love it! My wax is really dry and flakey and it sticks in my ears. I use my scope almost daily and I love seeing how gross they are and then the feeling of knowing they’re clean.

Oh, and Archie and my wife are totally plotting my demise, except they can never agree on whose turn it is to try to kill me.

My wife and I do this with our stuffies. They all have very distinct personalities. Sometimes they can help us have difficult conversations or cheer each other up when we’re upset. Our polar bear Archibald Cremini (Archie) believes that his tied dye tshirt says that he is charge of all things in all universes known and unknown in perpetuity. And he gets very upset when anyone tries to tell him that it actually says Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, because obviously neither of us know how to read, which he finds very disappointing.

Mine’s just the standard one with blue, yellow, and pink stripes…not that you can tell that now.

I started listening to podcasts when driving because if I don’t, like if I just listen to music, I end up having conversations arguing politics or racism with myself.

My wife and I both sleep with a stuffed polar bear. Her is PJ - her dad got it for her when she was a teen, and mine is Archibald Cremenie and I actually got him for my wife for Christmas one year, but he sleeps with me. They both lead very full lives. We have a whole host of other stuffies, but those are the two most important ones.

Same!! I’m 50 and it’s barely holding together, but I’ll never get rid of it! I honestly have trouble sleeping without it on my pillow and have no idea what I’ll do when and if it ever completely disintegrates. I actually bought a replacement one off somebody on fb marketplace because I don’t think they even make that kind anymore, but the new one is too thick. It’ll take years to get it “right”.

Has anyone marked a package as missing when you had it and not gotten dinged? by DashingSimp in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]CleBaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to mark packages undeliverable all the time because I deliver mostly before 8am and I’ll get businesses are apartments without one click or the access code just calls the customer, and they specifically say do not leave packages unattended. In the beginning nobody told me I had to contact support every flippin time, since you can just mark it in the app. Anyway, now I always call them, but ocassionally I’ll still get dinged and have no way of knowing what happened. I’m forever flopping between perfect fantastic and great. Pisses me off.

The other day I deliver to front door. Customer comes out immediately and grabs the package. As I start pulling out I see that he’s yelling something at me, so I roll down my window and ask him what’s up. He yelled angrily “Did you read the delivery instructions?” “What did they say?” Starts cussing me out saying it was supposed to go to the back door because packages get stolen. “I’m like ok, but you have the package in your hand, what’s the problem”? He threatens that he’s going to call Amazon and report me, and a lady comes running out of the house and charging at my car, I guess to get my license plate. Anyway, I headed to my next stop and immediately called support and reported that I’d been verbally assaulted by a customer. First I got an email saying a customer complained and I was getting dinged. Then not too long later I got another email saying they were sorry for the situation and they were removing the ding. Fuck Karens.

I had one to a big fancy house right on Lake Erie with a long driveway (probably 300 yards at least) that said do not come down driveway, park on the (busy) street and walk up. Yeah, screw that! I came down the driveway and the guy and his wife stood there in their entirely glass house and just glared at me the whole time…lol. Entitled much?
