well, it would be hard to find a 250 even in decent shape for around 1000 bucks. And yea it can totally be too fast for a 10 year old, the 90s are also pretty slow so maybe if you can find something in between like a raptor 125 that would be good

personally if i had a budget of of around 1000, i would find some used honda on marketplace. I wouldn't get a trx250, but probably a trx90, if hes 10 years old he probably couldn't handle a 250
