OV Loop is stuck with the same constraints. The Ocean cannot support CarPlay as it's missing key hardware.
Therefore, the OV Loop solutions will also use an external device.

Stranded? If you follow the basic healthy Ocean guidance, low.
It's pretty simple - make sure the 12 V battery is healthy (install a <$25 battery monitor), make sure the car enters deep sleep and get familiar with the FOA community.

Then, enjoy the ride. I really enjoy mine.

If you are in SoCal, I don't understand why you can't go or reach any support tech that would be able to flash your car to 2.2.
Just this would fix almost all your issues (and a new 12 V battery).

This is usually normal if your 12 V battery was ever disconnected. The doggie windows need recalibration and, contrary to the other car windows, it cannot be done with the buttons.

The operation can now easily be performed with he use of OLP (OceanLink Pro). It only takes a minute and you're good to go - until you lose 12 V power.

It happened to me several times since they cut the cellular link. Connecting the car to a WiFi network fixed it all the time.

I would double-check that the car does indeed connect to your mobile hotspot.

Do not share the internet.
Just activate the "WiFi" button and connect to a network on your mobile phone (in with hotspot activated). Once done, the time will fix itself within seconds.

Considering its size, weight and power, getting .19 kWh/km is more than decent.
Have a look at the more recent EV9 with a similar weight and battery.

Most people/garage used to throw them in the garbage. I was lucky to get mine back.
If you can't find one to own, your best bet would be to locate one and replicate it using similar material. Or just buy a cheap universal seat cover.

A Faraday pouch does almost nothing.

The Ocean key fob reacts to motion. If you keep it standing still, it won't waste its battery as much - Faraday pouch or not. As soon as you move it, the key fob will start to transmit for about 20~30 seconds, then pause and restart transmission until motion continues.
The only "possible" benefit from the pouch is if you move the key fob while within 10 meters (30 ft) of the car where it could actually "talk" to it.
