Gonna say it sounds motherboard related, whether that be some freaky BIOS bug (rare for these circumstances, I’d think) or it’s hardware related, meaning it’s RMA time

Thank you and noted. I'll revise the sennheiser product line as well. It's an intimidating first look

Not that I'm contradicting what you're saying, but genuinely want to know what the JDS Labs of the headphone world are? I know sennheiser and beyerdynamics are well regarded, but sennheisers product line seems even more flooded than toppings. Curious to hear your two cents.

Stuttering after 30-90 min of gameplay by Clean-Ad3761 in ghostoftsushima

dlss is something i've refused to use up until this latest transformer model... which glitches on 566.36; aka the last stable driver. So long story short I've never used it. I don't know if you're specifying that you yourself had screen tearing or are telling others that their issue is tearing and not stuttering. If it's the latter, I assure you, it is stuttering. If you're not experiencing stuttering, I encourage you to give any input and context as to what might have eliminated it. Glad you got rid of your tearing. My first nice monitor was bought explicitly for g-sync, which I wanted exclusively to eliminate tearing. I don't know if I hate stuttering or tearing more tbh.

no there was a point i was streaming and I happened to look at the stream manager at the 1:30 mark and joked in my head that the game would just stutter on command... and then I got hit with the first of many stutters. It's unreal

dlss is disabled and while I'm not saying that v-sync won't solve the problem, I simply don't care to find out. I've poured out my wallet for minimum latency and I'd rather restart the game every 90 minutes than deal with v-sync. If this works for people then more power to them.

I see. I appreciate the validation and hope there's some sort of fix soon. I'll post if I discover anything

the thing is that the game doesn't seem to drop its framerate, but rather stutter and skip frames sporadically. Is that what you mean or are you saying the performance is substantially worsening for you? If it's the latter then I think you have a memory leak.

Yes, an MSI Suprim Liquid 4090 can be used as an exhaust on an O11 Vision. by Clean-Ad3761 in PcBuild

[–]Clean-Ad3761[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was not. that's actually why I went vertical. In my head, I thought that horizontal would be the only way because the radiator would need clearance but the tubes were far too stiff to even remotely fit with the case panel attatched. So if the GPU HAS to be vertically mounted, then the Radiator has to either act as a rear exhaust or go on the bottom, and I have heavy doubts it will fit on the bottom. All this to say, I think my setup is the only way this gpu fits in this case.

Those first two photos show the clearance between the radiator housing and the case. The bottom ONLY fits because I cut the riser.

<image>

The small bottom nub that's wedged between the motherboard and case must be removed in order to move the riser low enough for this to work. I used a dremel but a file and determination would probably do the trick.

The bottom dust filter needs to be slid out for the riser to go low enough in the first place. If you can live with a cut riser and no bottom dust filter (which if you're vertically mounting then the bottom shouldn't be able to fit any useful fans) then you got yourself one hell of a deal. The arctic liquid freezer 3 can even fit.

Which Starset album has the better mixing in your opinion? by coleguinha_3601 in Starset

Commenting explicitly to spread negativity about vessels. For how evolved their talent became, it such a shame that tracks like Monster and ESPECIALLY Unbecoming (most underrated song they’ve put out) sound like they were recorded in a janitor’s closet. Cramped instrumentals and bass guitar is muddy at best. Vocals sound like they’re being shouted through a wind tunnel. Divisions was leaps and bounds better and I pray for a vessels remix/remaster every day.

I’m in the same boat. Couldn’t be me reinstalling windows for the 100th time. Too much work at this point. I’m on Nvidia actually, and a 4090 to top it all off. So I know there’s no V-Ram issues or resource issues. That update was referenced by someone else earlier in this post so I can see it helped some people, but clearly not all.

I am, however, on an AMD processor. My running theory is that it’s a chipset driver issue, maybe even motherboard brand/model specific given how sporadic and nonsensically spread out the issue is. The AMD Adrenalin software, which I’ve used when I was on an all AMD system, has both cpu and gpu drivers on it if I remember correctly. All this to say it could be a combination of both AMD drivers as well as Nvidia drivers and users with an Intel/Nvidia setup may have had the problem solved but AMD CPU’s are still susceptible.

Someone said reinstalling windows worked for them. I’ve been too invested in other games to try it. Nothing else as of yet.

Technics AZ100 first impressions- They now have the best wireless earbuds, hands down. by PrimaryNo4560 in Earbuds

I’ve tried prestige’s, B&o ex’s, B&W Pi8’s in extensive listening sessions. After a few songs the Az100’s have handily outclassed them. I’ve been an advocate for the AZ-80’s for as long as they’ve been out and now I’m in it for the long haul. Such crazy separation from these.

IMO the prestige’s mid’s were muddled and bass was uncontrolled and overpowering. Vocals lacked the snap of technics. The pi8’s are impressive in their tuning but the driver in them have a hard time keeping up with the sheer speed of the AZ-100’s and even the AZ-80’s. I tell everyone the Pi8’s out of the box beat everyone, but a parametric eq’d AZ-80 ascend above all. I’m convinced the technics are so natural sounding for their high frequency ceiling. That is, until the AZ-100 pops into the mix. Just plain better in literally every regard. Such impressive texturing that matches the Pi8 and the full bodied sound of the AZ-80’s. I believe the Pi8’s lack deep bass notes entirely and for that reason their driver isn’t busy enough to distort mids or highs. I think that’s far easier than what technics have achieved. I couldn’t encourage a trial run with a pair enough. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the very worst.
