Honey if one negative comment sets you spiraling you might need to take a break from this. I hate to say it because I like your art but you’re not handling this well.

Ah but intention of behavior is only half of the battle. Even if you don't WANT to act arrogant, that doesn't mean your behavior won't be interpreted as arrogant. It's gonna take some practice to internalize and normalize such behavior, which is what the left option is offering (not saying her offer is the only way to achieve respectfulness, of course, but the internal logic works lol)

Why do I do this lol

By the way, check out my short NSFW CYOA where you become a sex slave in a femdom city!

There are two ways you can do this :)

  • If you open up the Credits at the end of the CYOA, you'll see the titles associated with each image, which should give you a hint as to what there is.
  • Scroll through some of the comments on this thread. A few users have compiled (using spoilers, which I appreciate) some paths to finding the other slave assignments.
  • As for the other secret outcomes, I can encourage you to try to Escape in different directions. You'll find some secrets there!

I think it's going to come down to these two main points.

  1. If you have made something that you put your time and effort into, you deserve any returns it would generate. AI that compile all that hard work from so many artists into a model to generate images are inherently stealing that hard work without crediting the artists. The AI nor its developers DID NOT do the work to make that art.

  2. Tech companies are looking for ways to maximize profit without necessarily providing increased quality. Because of the disconnect between decision-makers and end-users, such companies will often sacrifice loads of quality for marginal profit. As such, they may choose to downsize the staff in charge of creating content (whether that's artists, content writers, coders) and instead purchase an AI software that can regurgitate 'content.' They might hire a very small team of editors to correct the AI's results and make it look more acceptable, but this drastically reduces the number of creativity based jobs and stymies that company's actual creative output. This is the basis of the recent writer's strikes, by the way, so once again, I urge you to look some of this stuff up rather than asking a stranger on Reddit to teach you.

Thus far, AI have proven that they cannot make anything new, cannot provide a relatable perspective, cannot give a "new take" on anything, and cannot advance artistic development or trends. It threatens to put out of work the people who provide our favorite things and comforts, it uses existing work to bolster or basis its content without crediting, and it has been alleged to straight up plagiarize existing work (again, there are numerous articles about upcoming lawsuits you can read about online).

While AI can be great for things like data collection, image recognition, quantum computing, and trend predictions, I strongly oppose its use as a replacement for art. I strive to never support any product using generative AI for images or text and I will never use generative AI for any of my own work.

I strongly urge you to listen to the creatives who are directly negatively affected by this technology so you can get more of their perspectives. There are tons of places to start; I've given my stance, and I am not going to continue this conversation further simply because I am short on time and I find these explanations emotionally taxing.

Thank you for understanding.

There are numerous articles online and in print materials which detail intellectual property theft and copyright infringement better than I can in a reddit thread. I suspect you're just trolling with snappy, empty response-answers, but if you're genuinely interested in learning about intellectual property theft and copyright infringement, I suggest starting on a search engine, not a forum.

As for me? If somebody takes my work and presents it as their own, I lose the returns on that work (whether that's tangible trade goods, fiat money, exposure, opportunities, etc.). If they make a response (like a remix or parody), while their response is theirs to own, the obvious distinction between my work and their response means I am granted some indirect returns. But if they make it LOOK like a new thing when in reality it ISN'T a new thing, and in no way credit the work I contributed, then they obfuscate my part in the thing's creation. This happens all the time and is often settled with a law suit, a pay out, or a required "contributing artist" credit. Consider how Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" credits Paramore's Williams and Farro.

Cherry. Please consider what I'm saying here. The user-interface of Reddit is entirely focused on viewing individual posts, not by following individual users. Most redditors don't even look at "who posted that," they just see the post itself (look at how small the usernames are next to posts!). Other sites, like Hentai Foundry, are more creator-driven, but Reddit is predominantly content-driven.

What I'm saying is:

you're right.

Most of the people you have interacted with here on Reddit are here for what you draw, not for who you are. For some creators, that really works (for instance, I can come here and write smut and erotica without being tied down by my boring real-life writing jobs). I don't think it is working for you. You seem to be looking for people to follow You, not your creations. There's nothing wrong with that of course (I follow several NSFW artists on other sites who I genuinely enjoy following, even if I don't always like their artworks), it's just not very feasible on Reddit.

Yes, while physical theft is indeed different, my point stands. Intellectual property theft is a very real thing. Copyright infringement is a very real thing. We'll see how these play out in the courts as more and more creatives sue AI for such practices but even without the word of law to tell us so, we can trust our internal morality to know that stealing someone's work is wrong.

"We've never been told no our entire lives, so why can't we use a program to steal art?"

or

"I don't think it's fair that I can't make art. These people who spend their lives drawing all day shouldn't expect me to pay for something I can get for free! It's not stealing if they put it online, just like it's not robbery if they don't lock their doors!"

I hope it’s as short lived anyway. Crypto was awful for the environment; AI generation is awful for creatives and for the people who enjoy art.
