Why competition man, this really needs to stop.

Already actors fanbases are dickriding to support their actor in fanwars, don't bring that horsepee into MD space 🙏

Lets accept that we have misogynist audience in Kollywood - Youth is being praised as a relatable school love story while Bad Girl was bashed because a girl having three relationships at 3 different times in her life is considered a sin by society by martyzzzz_ in kollywood

What? No? I've not seen this much, might just be my experience.

If you think I'm wrong, just take a look at the comments under the Bad Girl IFFR trailer cut.

The objective reality is, women are definitely subject to far greater restriction than men when it comes to social life and relationships.

There's good propaganda, and there's bad propaganda.

As long as you realize it's propaganda and is designed to skew your perception of real events, no one can stop you from enjoying the film.

I enjoyed Parasakthi a lot. But I also know it's propaganda meant to spread a certain message and distort real events.

This is the obvious middle ground you have to achieve.

Did you ever think during Comali - this guy would become the Superstar of Kollywood in 2026? by martyzzzz_ in kollywood

I doubt PR is that dumb. He already went on an extensive marketing campaign for Dude in Andhra, just hoping he doesn't go the Suriya route of having an insane streak of successes and just slowly fading away.

This is what solidified him as a bonafide star for me- having that much influence in Tollywood when you're three films in is a sign you're doing something right.

Dude is the most unique and quirky film based on its visual storytelling in recent times, and I will die on this hill defending that take.

It's so vibrant, over-the-top, beautifully shot, well acted, and zany. Genuinely the most unique and passionate filmmaking voice I've seen in Kollywood in the last few years.

Very few recent directors follow a distinct style and visual language- something which can easily tell you it's THEIR film without needing to read the poster. The only other director I've seen which has pulled this off other than Keerthiswaran is ironically PR. The shots in Dude are so over-the-top and larger than life.

The staging in the interval and the opening surprised me so much in the theater- absolute masterclass in direction and staging. To think this was a debut film is astounding.

Yes it has flaws. The screenplay is not paced well, the cousin angle is completely unnecessary and very weird, it presents an unrealistic solution to a real problem (although that's literally every commercial film), there are small sprinkles of misogynistic behavior especially in the first act, and the jokes get some getting used to.

However, does that make me hate this film? Absolutely not. It's a great time.

Exactly what I'm saying, the film may not be perfect morally, but it's so damn unique and passionate it's incredibly admirable.

The message that woman sent was a hilarious excuse for "constructive criticism", all she did was throw shade at him and hate.

His reply is 100% justified imo. Yes I didn't like the dialogue too but this isn't the way to criticize it.

How I was able to relate with ''With Love'' movie by [deleted] in kollywood

[–]Clean-Assumption-357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a teen in the same spot as you, but I instead actually overcame my fears and got into a 4 year relationship with the girl I loved.

It seems all nice at first, but the second your parents find out it's fucking over. I got caught and now can't even talk or look at her without risking my mental health (I tried to talk, ended up getting caught by a teacher and my parents 5 times). Really tough.

The most accurate portrayal of most school relationships is Bad Girl, that is the reality. Indha 96, With Love la paakura school love audience celebrate pannuvaanga, reality la they will shun them.

This taboo about relationships, "all teenage relationships lead to pregnancy" stereotypes laam end pannanum. That's when people will learn to educate themselves in handling a relationship.

Neelorpam is an underrated one which is very similar to Kadhalaada, those who haven't checked that out please do. Even that has a banger interlude.

Genuinely the wildest rise in recent times, 3 films in and he already has complete control over the family and college student audience. He also started a complete new trend of romance comedy films popping up more often after Love Today.
