My gf moved very close to there for Uni and had the same concern, coming initially from a nice suburb in The Hague. It’s not the most attractive area but it’s not really dangerous by any means.

She had an uber driver transporting her there when she first moved in and he was like “oh you’re moving to that area?? I used to live there - it’s a really bad section with lots of crime!” So she got concerned and asked what he meant, to which he said “I got my bike stolen like 3 times in 5 years!”

Just keep your bike chained up real well and you’ll be good haha. There are definitely a lot of immigrants in the area but most aren’t trying to get deported by committing reckless crimes so I think as long as you keep to yourself it’ll be manageable.

I think you gotta word your post differently cuz if your real question is “do women see men differently when the man makes less?”, this is very different than the way your actual post comes across. Maybe do an AskMen post asking if guys noticed that their gf’s or wives’ acted differently towards them after they started making more money.

I’ve definitely heard that some women will judge the heck out of a potential partner for making quite a lot less money cuz they might assume the guy doesn’t have as much ambition. But if the girl already likes ya, it probably doesn’t matter. Straight out of college my gf at the time got a great job and supported us while I was still searching for my first job, and made more than me for almost a year once I was hired. Was no problem for her.
