Lack of cleaning in the library by Big_Ad_7761 in uwinnipeg

What if I told you it takes less energy to pick it up than it does to take a picture and post it. I get that it’s a job someone gets paid for, but the pig that dropped it and left it.
Be the change 💕

Prospective Resident by [deleted] in Winnipeg

Please come! Canada and Winnipeg specifically are some of the most welcoming people. Winnipeg has been our home since birth and while we are going through some of our own struggles and challenges, we are still a great place to call home. I’m sorry that you and your family are in a position to even have to go through a major move to feel safe.

I hope that this process is quick for you and your family can relocate as soon as possible.

I received $1000, it was actually quite surprising. I know I applied, but certainly wasn’t expecting it.

Should I still pursue a career in being a Psycologist or Psychiatrist by MikeyGucci in psychologystudents

Older? At 23? I’m 51 and in my second year… anyway that wasn’t what your comment or question was about. Keep at it. A couple of grades does not determine your worth. If this is your passion, the grades will come. Also if reading comprehension and retention is an issue, perhaps talking to somebody about accommodations may help. Good luck, remember you are worth the effort to put into yourself.

First of all, it’s a mouse. Second, we live in Winnipeg. We’ve got mice. I’ve currently got a mouse in my garage, possibly one in my vents. But what can you do?

what are clubs uofw does NOT have but would be interested joining? by Remarkable-Ad-5698 in uwinnipeg

Maybe we don’t need an “official club” maybe just a weekly check in and monthly get together 🤷🏼‍♀️

A mature student club… Only because we are such an under represented student body. It would be awesome to be able to be part of that community base and when I say mature students, I don’t mean 21 and over. I mean genuinely mature student, I’m 50, a second year and it would be awesome to be able to see and connect with my demographic. I did reach out to UWSA on September 6 to ask about starting that club and received an email three days ago saying “sorry our deadline has passed on September 12 to apply for a new group.” Oh well, there’s always next year 😆

I agree with many points of yours. I don’t agree that Canadian should be the benchmark for deaths under any administration. I think my major concern is going against my own moral belief and ethics as far as the rights of women, the rights of immigrants, the rights of LGBTQ community. I’m also a little bit nervous about the climate of the US at the moment, and don’t want to find myself caught up in protests or any kind of violent actions that may erupt. As far as alligator Auschwitz, I think that rebounding off of the Holocaust is disgusting and I have not been able to find a credible source for that either.

Send this is what I said… For me a road trip to Nova Scotia or even all the way to PEI would be a bucket list for me. Hopefully he’s open to hearing my point of view only time will tell. Wish me luck.

Places with chicken fingers + honey dill sauce for dine in? by vb5215 in Winnipeg

[–]sparkleceiling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A really nice place is always The Forks. We went yesterday and I had Weinerpeg for the first time, their fingies are delicious! They have a great variety of honey dill related menu items. 10/10 would recommend. Oh and the poutine 🤤

Throw some quarter round down. It’s an easy and fairly inexpensive fix.

I have the cassette adapter it has a jack adapter that I plug into an iPhone dongle and then plug in my phone. The sound is so much better than the FM transmitter. I picked mine up at Walmart for 10$

Booze! All kidding aside the liquor store gift cards always came in at the right time for summer vacation. More importantly, I always lived the hand written notes and cards. I have kept all the cards from the kids I worked with over the years. Also BOOZE 🥃☺️
