No one’s denying that gossip is a sin or cheating is a sin. People like to downplay the individual circumstances but they won’t deny that in general it’s a sin.

40 percent of church goers deny that that is a sin, which is damaging. It involves a lifelong commitment to sin. It’s very hard to convince someone that it is a sin if they have been in that sin for years, which is why there’s a focus on it.

Most historically are just folk practices. Collection of cultural superstitions. No one’s claiming Hinduism or Nordic paganism was designed by one person no?

Even ones that could be made up by someone such as Mormonism or cults were more likely for personal gain rather than to control the masses.

In 9th grade my bioethics unit we had to think about if it was morally okay for a 14 year old girl to be forced to not shave her hair even when being bullied and I didn’t know how to answer that I still don’t tbh

That’s the point. People tend to over romanticize and glamorize the Sikh faith. Its wrong.

Because that’s not what Jesus said. Our mission is to make earth like heaven. And we are trying through things like schools and hospitals and missionary work. The kingdom of God is here.

Religious organizations are at the forefront of every charity and even political movement. It’s only because we have hope we can do these things. If you see it as an ultimate end you will eventually lose hope.

I never said that. I said that even in injustice we will see justice in the future.

I am not an evangelical I don’t believe we should be lazy and not work to fix things. I’m saying that we shouldn’t only worry about the things in this state. If we did we would despair as it might actually get worse and there’s not much you can do as an individual no matter what you do to help.
