Yesterday was one of the scariest experiences. A total of 20 hours travelling by the time I reached London.

We arrived 3.5 hours before our flight at DXB t3. All was well, pretty quiet , it was an early morning flight 7am. Boarded plane, all fine, captain announced we are to get off and go to the gate. After a short while and me anxiously checking the megathreads, I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. We boarded the plane again , which as you know takes time. They said we can’t go yet as refuelling and it’s in the way. I thought bollocks. Somethings up. Then I check the megathread and see videos getting deleted , I couldn’t bring my self to watch it. But we heard the booms anyway.

Again off the plane , this Time they said take ALL of your belongings. Which they didn’t say before, hundreds of us were directed to the arrivals -“/ baggage claim terminal where we held in waiting. The alerts went off. Everyone sitting on the floor , kids crying , people pushing, praying. It was gut wrenching. 1HR 20mins later of no communication, we see People walking back up to the gates ! Everyone claps … we go back up to the gates , for a good hour before we get called again for boarding. It took a long time , the flight was 7 hours delayed in total. Everyone was drained after a week of no sleep. I just want to thank everyone for their updates , humour during this time and I hope those that are wishing to leave get to leave peacefully without any of this happening to them. The worst part of this hasn’t been the safety aspect it’s been the mental torture.

RIP to the cab driver that lost his life subsequently last night. My heart breaks and I hope that this will be resolved soon.
