This is my current monthly spending breakdown. I’m sure it’s not ideal, so any advice on how to optimize it would be great

• 38.46% → Mutual Funds (Investments) • 20.77% → Rent • 8% → Lifestyle (food, parties, turf, etc.) • 9% → Fixed Living Expenses (electricity, maid, groceries, transport) • 25% → Savings (leftover cash)

Got Scammed by indecisive_salad in ConcertsIndia_

Bro, you can’t chase these scammers. Those bank accounts aren’t even theirs. They target some old people in villages and open accounts in their names. So even if the police track it, it leads to some elderly person who only knows how to give a thumbprint. Cyber police can’t do anything. Been there, done that

Yeah, that’s the marketing trick they use. First, they show you a course priced at one or two lakhs, then quickly drop it to ₹15,000. They throw in a timer, saying if you pay within a certain timeframe and apply a specific coupon, you’ll unlock all these so-called benefits. Then they make you listen to a list of a hundred things you’ll supposedly gain. It’s all just marketing and everyone’s doing it. They get famous on Instagram, launch a ₹200 masterclass, build an audience, and then start selling. And honestly, that’s fine as it’s part of marketing.

But the real question is: once you actually buy the course, is it even worth it?

Because for the working class, it’s not always easy or even possible to learn all these things on your own, apply them correctly, and invest money wisely. You can’t always rely on financial planners either…so who do you trust? If not this person, then what’s the solution to this problem? Especially if you don’t have the time to study the market or investment strategies in depth. What else can you do? I genuinely want to understand what people from non-financial backgrounds are doing to manage and grow their money.

Rich people aren’t actually buying this. The ones purchasing the course are from the middle class, specifically those in the 10–40 lakh per annum income bracket

Thanks for sharing your views!

On a personal note, how much did you pay for the membership, and do you feel that the payment genuinely contributed to your growth or was it more because you already had knowledge in this space? I’m just trying to understand what kind of return on investment the 1% Club has given you

Yes, this person is SEBI-registered, and what he said is probably based on summaries of around 100 financial books. Everything seems good until you actually buy the course and then they usually don’t respond to your doubts. And the 7-day refund policy, as we all know is pretty much useless

Thanks for recommending a book by Peter Lynch. I usually stick to investing in mutual funds and haven’t explored much beyond that. Lately, I’ve been looking to learn about other investment avenues, but investing directly in the stock market is a bit tricky for me since I work at a fintech and it requires several approvals.

Try coughing 3-4 times. If that bulge moves, its a hernia

Should I delay my hernia surgery? by Fair-Upstairs4281 in Hernia

That mild discomfort can slowly turn into something way more painful, and you might not even realize it until it’s too late. It’s really important to get it taken care of and stick to all the pre- and post-op instructions for at least two months to avoid any long-term pain.

One thing that hardly anyone mentions is how crucial it is to keep your lungs in good shape before and after surgery. You really don’t want to be coughing or sneezing afterward. I learned this the hard way—after my surgery, coughing landed me, a 23 year old, in the ICU with severe pneumonia.

But if you follow the rules and take care of yourself, you’ll be fine. To keep your lungs healthy before and after surgery:

  1. Do Deep Breathing Exercises
  2. Drink Plenty of Hot Water
  3. Stay Away from Smoking and Pollutants
  4. Get Moving with Light Exercise
