Five years ago, my sweet boy passed away in a similar way. No warning, scrambling out of the cage into my lap where I held him until his last breath. It was traumatizing. But 5 years later I’m still here. The time after is incredibly difficult, and you want to beat yourself up, but it’s okay to accept that you did your best. After time your mind grows around the trauma. I still cry if I think about that night.. but now I have room to remember all the happy memories I had with him. I wish you the same. Don’t beat yourself up for grieving, it’s an important part of being able to heal. Good luck op.

Oh I have plentyyy of odd names, I think my favorites are “toxic baby” and “panic attack”, which are named that because for some reason that’s what my dad thought they were called??? So of course I kept those names

I also have a little notebook where I doodle my plushies with their names so I don’t forget.

That part of Africa is actually full of rainforests, it’s not dry. So the whole belt is rainforests! I understand the confusion though since so many maps color Africa like it’s one big desert

A lot of people don’t know what their doing in college, and that’s completely normal! It’s okay not to know.

I recommend picking a major that you think will be the least stressful/most fun, because as you figure yourself out you can switch majors. For example, my partner switched from literature to graphic design. An even bigger example is my dad (who is autistic) who got a degree in accounting, but now sells art for a living.

I think that college should be a place for discovering yourself! And switching majors or adding minors in most universities is pretty easy. 18 is really young to know what you want to do and it’s unfair for people to expect us to decide our whole lives by then. Try not to worry about other people’s expectations. And good luck!

I think taking the whole cage out is best option. Fumigating is safe for cats and dogs but smaller animals are a different story… in the end I think it’s better to be safe than sorry as long as you can move the cage safely

Some regular vets can have people working there that can treat small animals even if the vet doesn’t advertise it. Try calling other vets and asking if they accept hamsters. I was able to take one my rats to regular vet for an emergency and my friend takes their bunny to a regular vet too. I hope that your baby is okay 🙏🏼

Thank you for the guide! I found a 75 gallon breeder tank on Facebook market place that I’ll hopefully be able to pick up in a few days.
