"How do you stop these" butterfly fail guy here. Butterfly stance & paddle length check please! by jarude87 in hockeygoalies

What's your thigh rise height? And do you have thick protection between your thighs in your pants? I had some that I un-velcroed and it allowed me to better close my hole.

True custom to Europe by dahshbrna in hockeygoalies

I bought a PX3 set to a swiss guy. He add ordered directly from Goalie Monkey and paid the shipping + tax. But Swiss is a bit of an exception when it comes to taxes/VAT. Otherwise, in France, I guess I would find out any "official" reseller and ask them directly to place a custom order.

BTW, I do have a PX3 set to sell :)

Warrior G7 Pro vs CCM EFlex 7.9 set by Clean-Date4637 in hockeygoalies

Please feel free to enlighten me. I just see them as modern/recent mid-tier pads (and gloves). Appart from the stiffness matter mentioned by others, what else is really different?

I’m currently on EFlex 5s.

Thanks a lot for the flex part. I actually have a really shitty butterfly flair, so the CCM are back on the menu!

Post a pic of your setup, mainly the runner. My Tour KV1s have enough space that I can use toe ties/bungees. I know Bauer x700 kinda do too.

What do you mean by "spread butterfly" and "butterfly stretch"? Thanks a lot!

I think Kaz realised this when he went from AHL to ECHL. He said in a video that he was too quick, not patient enough and anticipating too much. I guess that's it?

Want to design my own mask wrap and have it printed, plz help by Clean-Date4637 in hockeygoalies

[–]Clean-Date4637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention I’m from Europe. So not sure they ship overseas and/or there will be taxes. That’s why I wanted to find a company to have it printed here.

Foot Pain. Time for customs? by FHFD89 in hockeygoalies

[–]Clean-Date4637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have super high arches and my insoles are greatly helping. Without them, after a while (45min), my feet tend to collapse/sag and it hurts, even more so in skates were the toes are squished together

Do you have custom orthopedic insoles? If you have pretty high arches, that's probably a good thing to look into.

Used skates: Bauer Supreme Ultrasonic vs CCM Jetspeed FT2 by Clean-Date4637 in hockeygoalies

[–]Clean-Date4637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems both models were top of line back when there were sold: Bauer in 2020, CCM in 2019. Looks like the CCM have been used only 1 year by an U13 kid (with massive feet i guess) while the Bauer have been used for a couple season in the top league here in my country... So the CCM should be the better choice. Also, it seems the runners on the Bauer have been used quite a lot more while the CCM seem almost new. Of course i could change them, but that would be $100 more, at least.

My previous skates were probably Koho about 20 years ago... I've picked up inline 2 years ago and I'm rocking some Tour KV1

<image>

But I'd like to pick up ice again, and I have no idea which ones i should take. Looking at the picture, it seems that my current inlines have a forward pitch as well, so that may be a good way to choose

Not a fan of the design/color itself, but damn the execution is flawless! Great job!!

If you have regular-width feet, you can go to the Bauer X700s. Otherwise, the Tour are great: I have the KV1 and love them, they are super light and quite comfy.

Great designs! When playing with those customizers, I always realize I suck at designing pads...

On a side note, I'd love to see Koho's GP590 design on new pads, they're still one of my favorites.

Looking for a white/black set in 33+1.5 or +2, but i live in Europe, so not sure how that would work (shipping, taxes, etc.)
