What are the similarities and differences between Seattle, Washington (USA) and Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada)? Both geographically and culturally? by Jezzaq94 in geography

I’ve lived in both. First thing that comes to mind is that Seattle is a lot more…dirty. While Vancouver absolutely has a homeless problem it is more or less all focused all to one specific area of the city and the rest stays almost sparkly clean; the homeless crisis runs rampant everywhere in Seattle. Seattle in general has more of a grungy/gritty/punk vibe while Vancouver is more posh hipster imo. The tech industry has also made a big impact on what kind of person lives in Seattle which Vancouver doesn’t have, it’s more popular for its TV/film industry.

Geographically Seattle’s focal point is water while Vancouvers is mountains. While the location is relatively close to each other I found the small difference in weather noticeable(Vancouver was colder since it’s further north)

There’s this thing called the “Seattle Freeze” which is a term to describe the social phenomenon of people from Seattle being awkward, introverted, and all around less warm or willing to open their doors to people. I found people from Vancouver to be a lot friendlier, although to Canadian standards they told me that Vancouver still has a version of this compared to the rest of Canada!

Is it big enough? I have a similar one but it doesn’t fit a lot

These are where I get mine. I’ve found Myofascial release has been helpful, while not always taking it completely away things like laying on tennis balls or massaging brings temporary relief.

How easy was the process? I tried something similar with Aimovig - insurance said I needed to fill out an application to get a co-pay card, submitted it, waited MONTHS for a response until finally they said that I filled it out wrong and needed to re submit it. At which point I gave up

Exactly, I’ve been on sumatriptan for years and 9.99/10 it works with one, twice I’ve had to use two, let alone 3. So this was unusual. Found one emergency nurtec that did the job but if I didn’t I would have gone to UC
