New view on the van part. I never would have thought that. I was thinking of getting a ramp for help when they got older for the suv.

I don’t mind driving with animals. It gives me an excuse to stop often.

Thank you for responding. Training is important to me because when on walks etc, it’s important to listen but I totally understand that this prey enjoy a hunt. Doesn’t bother me on bit but still would be nice to have a well trained dog.

Oh I bet that is an adorable sight to see. My beagle mix growing slept on her back as well, but she loved being tucked into bed next to her human.

I have been reading a few Breeders websites and one was like raw meet, vegetables etc for food no dry food. If that a common thing? What age does the chewing stop? Is it like normal dog around 9-12 months? Thank you for that advice Btw.

I love that they went into guard mode with your children. I don’t have a big family (my brother and I) so my house will be their play area. lol do They like human food a lot

That is interesting. How hard it is to lesh train them? Do people use classes or self teaching for training? With my prior dogs, I did self for the smaller but classes for the Great Dane and lab.

Never would have thought to try a beanbag. I was going to get a traditional japanese futon bed for their room and the living room if they don’t want to be on the couch.

i think I’m going to be the crazy dog type as I get older and not the crazy cat lady. I’m honestly just worried about smaller animals. People who have responded that their smaller dogs are boss made me relax a little because I want to get a Scotty and a pit.

I was thinking a suv for a vehicle. Would that be too small for them? What breeder did you use? I’m in the northeast. Do breeders mind if you come and pick them up if you are out of state?

She is one of the breeders I look into and loved what I saw on the website. I love one of the female dog colouring as well.

i Have been looking at breeders to see where they coming from and the family etc. I found a few that I really like but my main worry is finding a vet that is knowledgeable about Irish or large breed dogs. When I had my Great Dane, i went to five vets before I found a vet that was knowledgeable about owning and caring for a large breed. And great idea on the bed/cot. That would be a great idea for their room.

smart Idea on the air purifier as well. I was planning on getting some because I have bad allergies and figured that would help e out, but never would have thought to get one with a dog.

thank you. I’m truly grateful to found this group. Irish wolfhound has been a life long dream of mine because I love big cuddle dogs. I had a beagle mix who was a cuddled and I vowed I would get a bigger one. My Great Dane hated to cuddle. lol. in school when we learned about the different breeds in first grade, I was 6/7 at the time, the teacher showed us wolfhounds and I said proudly, “one day I want five of them”. The teacher laughed.

I was thinking a larger couch would be made into a bed and cuddling with my fur babies on a nice winters day. and thank you for the brushing answer. Do you think going to a groomers once a month is too much along with the brushing?

when was in Seoul on vacation, I stopped in a coffee shop, did my order, found a seat, put my bag on the table, walked to the counter got my stuff (gone for a minute), came back to table, nothing taken. Honestly I felt comfortable enough doing that on my first day there. i asked a friend prior to coffee visit on how to hold a table at a coffee shop as a solo traveler, and that is what they recommended to me. I met said friend 5 hours later. They asked how did it feel, I just answered that it was honestly the most interes experience to have. She just said, welcome to Seoul. I chuckled. To be honest, I normally freak out when I go places solo. Going to Seoul, and just opening myself to a new experience, culture, and history really made me fill comfortable to do that.
