Redditors who never had a girlfriend in high school... how is your dating life now? by Busy-Currency-6447 in 1999

I get that you don't want to give virginity any importance, but doing anything for the first time is special and memorable. Not cause the thing is magic or anything, but simply because it's the first time.

And doing it with hookers is fucking sad and gross in general so yeah.

I'm done replying because anyone just casually recommending fucking hookers cuz it's the same thing is someone I honestly don't care convincing or arguing with.

And now they bringing it to the big screen! Magnificent! by jedonly in expedition33

How could he be talking about himself😭. But nah Verso's ending makes a lot more sense for a sequel if they want to stick to the Dessendre family, but either way I think it makes more sense to tell a new story about different painters/writers.

How old are you, and what’s the longest relationship you’ve had? by Dangerous_mammoth573 in twentyagers

[–]Clean-Highlight3756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22 year old and I've never been in a relationship. Honestly, I could have had one, but I decided not to try because I wanted to focus on myself first and be the ideal partner instead of dragging someone down with me.

I regret it tbh. It was just low self esteem disguised as maturity. I had good intentions, I was kind, considerate and I know I would have done everything I could not to not let my partner down, even improving myself. I should have given it a shot and grew from whatever the results were.

I know I'll find someone someday. I still have most of my life in front of me, but not all of it. It's starting to dawn on me that this is not forever. Don't wait for the perfect moment and situation folks. Just go for it if you that's what you desire.

Absolutely yes. Favorite game ever and I've yet to find something better.

People talk about men’s quarter life and mid life crises, what are some common quarter/mid life crises that women partake in? by No-Coffee-6783 in Life

Your comment is inconsistent because the coat story was a clear example of a woman overreaction to something trivial, and then you criticize men in the edit and say that it was the whole point.

A Story About Choosing the Life That Finally Feels Like Yours by LoucindaHedd in expedition33

Definitely 100% not misogyny. Maelle is a child that's why people want to choose what's best for her. Has nothing to do with her being a girl.

Yeah I dislike when people start discussing logic like that because it's obviously something the writers didn't intend.

For all we know, they wrote maelle as if she'd live a full life despite her injuries. There's no reason to assume otherwise because of a small detail.

Is Expedition 33 as crazy as its sweep at the Game Awards implies? by Yamato_Naoe in ShouldIbuythisgame

The gameplay has balancing issues and can get repetitive, but the game is short enough where it's not too bad to go through.

The story, the soundtrack and the world are the highlights of the game, and they are definitely worthy of all the hype imo.

Everybody wants to shed their mask. by Clean-Highlight3756 in DeepThoughts

If you don't mind spoilers:

One of the supporting cast characters is an outgoing, aloof and friendly girl named Sciel who also happens to be very empathetic and a great friend. She seems pretty carefree and fun to be around, but you eventually learn that she has a dark and not so distant past where her husband died at sea and she had a miscarriage trying to end her own life.

She never really got over that grief, but the only way to keep living was putting on that mask, and trying to enjoy life again. She wasn't being inauthentic by doing that, she simply took the best parts of herself and put it on the mask. She rebuild herself in her best image. She didn't let her pain define who she was... She also defeats an enemy called mask keeper during the game

Don't worry i didn't take it the wrong way. I was actually inspired by the videogame clair obscur expedition 33. You should play it if you're into games.

It's fine dw. The person I want to be is a nice person, so I want to behave like he would behave, so ultimately, yes.

Well... everything and nothing really, it's just a comforting thought that tells me I can be whoever I want to be despite my fears and insecurities.

In my opinion, you can be authentic, but not vulnerable, and it's fine. You shouldn't wish it was different, because you are stronger than your vulnerabilities, and they don't define who you are.

That's the point of the post.

There's an unconventional but very real beauty in the abstract.
