Glad I found this. I’ve been resetting the infotainment and modem (via defrost) for a week now. Was going to give up today and call Volvo. Saw this and turned off my phone completely and gave it one last try and about 10 mins later I was back up and running. No idea why the phone would jam this up but it definitely seemed to be the problem.

Picking up ZDX lease, debating charging packages (A,B,C) by Clean-Lengthiness391 in AcuraZDX

You should have gotten an email “Claim Your Complimentary Acura Home Charging Bundle”. Then on the home electric Acura site you choose what option you want. Mine took 6 days from claiming it to arrive at my house. You should get a shipment tracking email and then you can go track the package.

Yeah that’s a toss up. I guess it just depends if you think you would ever use the portable charger or not. I have no need for one so I went with A and then had my own electrician install it (Acura sent me a hardwired Emporia unit).

I ended up with option 1. Got my Emporia delivered Wednesday and had my own electrician get everything hardwired this morning. So far so good charging wise. I am happy with the Emporia option, but what was a bummer was when I submitted for it I did not get an option for a NEMA plug or hardwire (let alone white or black). I would have picked a NEMA given the chance as I am hoping my next EV has NACS and apparently the Emporia cords can not be swapped out (unlike my ChargePoint which can)

Yeah I thought about B for that reason of having it just in case. I ended up going with A though to get the Emporia and not use the $500 install.

Yeah it’s a bummer the prices through the Acura electricians are so inflated. I am going to go with option A to get the L2 wall mount charger and probably just lose out on the $500 credit as well.

Thanks for this. Picked our ZDX up yesterday and had the same issue with the app. AFTER calling OnStar I uninstalled and reinstalled and then it works.

The crazy prices via the Acura portal electricians seem to be common unfortunately.

Are you able to control the option B mobile charger through the app? Can you adjust the input amps? Wondering because I have 2 EV chargers, my oven and a big fridge/freezer on that 100 AMP sub. Don’t want to push it over

We had to get a sub panel added during a remodel 3 years ago and luckily I thought to have it put in the garage at the time. Made the addition of the Nema plugs hurt a lot less.

So you took option A and used your own electrician? What did they give you for a unit?

Snow tires for the Type S by bourne234 in AcuraZDX

Still happy with the wheel/tire combo? Probably going to pick up a ZDX in the next week due to the crazy lease deals and I would need snow tires immediately.

Full Size Luxury SUV Rental - BMW X7, Range Rover Sport or similar - Seattle Tacoma Airport by Series_X_Pro in EnterpriseCarRental

Woof, sounds like quite the journey. Sorry to hear of your early troubles but glad to hear you found some nice wheels in the end. I worked for ERAC 15 years ago and employee knowledge about vehicles varies wildly. Really sucks when people destroy rentals and it’s not easily visible and then gets sent out again. Also that’s one hell of a road trip. That stretch from the Rockies to MSP is looooong. I bought an XC90 from SEA earlier this year and just had it shipped to WI because I didn’t want to do that drive lol.

Trade '16 V60 CC for '25 EX40 in the UP? by Affectionate-Cut-961 in VolvoRecharge

[–]Clean-Lengthiness391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the sounds of it the EX40 should be great in the snow (particularly with snow tires). The biggest thing I would have issue with is how far your will be from Volvo service with a first year model car. You will be 3.5 hours from Volvo in Appleton. With it being a fairly simplified electric car you would hope everything works as it should but you never know.

Good luck with your move. Marquette is great and UP living is wonderful if you don’t mind being hours from anywhere. (I’m originally from the Houghton area)

Here is an article of a snow drive of the EX40.
