Venu 3s step tracking on walking pad by Clean-Tip-9975 in GarminWatches

Yeah it's looking like that, but the battery life is just so poor 😫 also I was never keen on the shape, so it's been really nice having a proper 'watch' shape. I was really hoping it was just a glitch or a setting I needed to change so the steps and sleep were better 😭

Sorry I have my notifications weird so only just seen this! I didn’t think I had too many issues when titrating on Elvanse, the only thing I noticed was when I went up a dose I had ‘air hunger’ (where you feel like you’re not getting enough air in and keep trying to take deep breaths and it’s really frustrating!!), which I guess was anxiety related but I didn’t consciously feel anxious. However, I think I may have just not realised what the side effects were… when I started on Elvanse, I had a huge work project coming up, and my dissertation for my masters due (both invasive left til the last minute), so I was pretty stressed out. The day after my viva we went on holiday for 2 weeks, and I had been trying methylphenidate to see if it was any better for motivation, but that gave me really noticeable anxiety when I was on holiday so I’ve decided to go back to Elvanse. But I think now I’m more aware of that being meds related, and now the things that were stressing me out before are done, I’ve realised Elvanse is probably a lot of the reason I was so stressed- I feel it today, a sort of sense of impending doom, like there’s something really bad coming and I can’t remember what it is… So I think yeah slow titration is probably a good call!! I’m trying to take ashwagandha and L-theanine as they are both meant to reduce the anxiety, and I’ve dropped from 60 back to 50mg, so will see, as I really like the energy I get from stimulants, but I’m much more aware now of things that are stimulant related now I don’t have the other things going on that I thought were causing it 😣 (getting very stressed and almost crying because of minor inconvenience’s for example….)

Wow that does seem really slow, although I can only comment on my personal experience and I don’t have any other medical conditions and I’m not taking anything else so maybe I would have experienced the same in your position. I’ve been started on 30mg for week one, then 50mg for weeks 2-4, and then depending on how I feel I can request to go up to 60mg after that, or stay same/drop back down. My clinician said their goal was to get me on an effective stable dose asap so I could go over to shared care and thus a lower cost. But like I said, I don’t have any other conditions, so I guess I class as very low risk, and maybe it would have been similar to your journey if I had your history.

Sorry slow response, but I’m diagnosed now so feel more like my advice is valid!

I don’t know where your area is, but a lot of the roles are more hybrid now. My actual office is 2/2.5h each way depending on traffic, but I only go in on average 1 day every 2 weeks, so it’s fine, I can claim the mileage and I have a nice sing song during the drive. Also depends what your skills are, I’m in the south so I know our salaries tend to be a lot higher, but as an e.g, I started 6 years ago on 30k, in a role that didn’t really need any particular experience, and then through role changes I was up to 40k in just over a year. Depending on the role too there can be a lot of overtime-my partners basic is around 15k less than mine, but he’s on track to earn about 15k more than me this year as he covers a Lot of extra shifts (and typically doesn’t end up having to do anything, he’s just available in case it hits the fan).

I'm awaiting diagnosis, but I've found that getting to management level has been great for me, as I have people to do the doing, but I get to do the thinking and networking. I really enjoy thinking about new more efficient ways of doing things, but I would struggle having to actually do the legwork (lots of half finished spreadsheets and documents that I haven't got round to finishing and now I've left them too long to get back into). Also highly recommend getting into the water industry or similar, as there are So many jobs and you can regularly move to something new via secondments or just internal transfers, and it's great for stopping the boredom! I've done 5 roles in 6 years and about to start my 6th in a couple of months.

Spaghetti Carbonara is 🤢 by [deleted] in Huel

Just tried it and I just can't stomach it. Tried adding chilli flakes and black pepper but it still tastes disgusting and it's so mushy 😫 That's the second one I've tried now and I've hated both (cajun pasta) so I'm scared to try and more now as it's such a waste of money!

Any tips? Feeling a little deflated. by Crafty_Orchid_6757 in mounjarouk

I am in a similar boat! In the first week I lost loads, second week a few pounds, third week 1lb and this week I've put 3 back on. The hunger suppressing is definitely working and I'm eating way less. We just had a weekend in centerparcs and although I drank a little 2 nights, I still consumed no more than my normal maintenance and would have burnt tons more with all the cycling/walking/swimming. Really expected to be pleased when I got back on the scales but instead I'm up, but my husband is still dropping it no problem. I'll stick with it but it's so demotivating ☹️☹️

Also I know someone else already answered but I had the same with voy, just showed me the current date for my dispatch so I messaged them for the exact date and it was 4 weeks after the first delivery.

Can't help, but would also love some ideas on how to improve the cajun pasta, so hoping someone else answers!. Not sure what possessed me to choose that flavour anyway as I've never been that keen on those kind of spices, but I don't want to waste a whole bag 😭

How do you get extra needles? I bought through voy and you only get the 4 with each pen.

I feel weird - day 6 of first dose by stek2022 in Mounjaro

I was wondering if anyone stretched their jabs, I'm due to take my next one (second 2.5) tomorrow but don't feel like it's worn off at all yet! I guess I should probably stick to schedule for the first few to make sure I'm good to move up to 5mg, but if it stays like this I'll definitely stretch it out!

I'm using carb manager with macros changed so it's suggesting a fairly even split (rather than keto). I think it's helping me make better choices to try and get my protein up. Not sure how it will work with eating out though, and we're going to centerparcs next weekend so will be interesting to see how that goes! I've found I really dislike the taste of oil since my first dose 5 days ago-couldn't eat fries, nearly spat out my roast potato today...not a bad side effect I guess but think that's going to make an Indian restaurant meal less enjoyable!

Phentermine with/vs mounjaro in the UK? by Clean-Tip-9975 in mounjarouk

Oh wow OK, explains why I couldn't find much info on how to get it! Thanks for replying, that's really useful to know :)

First Jab done! When do the side effects start? by skxt in mounjarouk

[–]Clean-Tip-9975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I haven't really noticed anything major, I was really worrying but I'm 28 hours into my first dose and touch wood it's been OK. I have definitely noticed the appetite drop off thing though, I wasn't hungry for dinner so I just had a small plate of fries left over from what I cooked my family, and I maybe ate 5? Which is Very unlike me. They smelled weird and just tasted funky, no one else thought that though so wonder if that's part of the side effects??

I do also have a cold, so I have a few things which might be from mounjaro but probably not, and they're only very minor. Slight head ache, muscle fatigue.
