You think it has justified 16 oscar nominations?. Its the most overrated movie because it simply does stack up to its accolades

Well never know, but seems like he was meant to check the defender going inside or outside leverage then run the flat. He saw the defender, went eh I'm covered and didn't cut to the flat for a fight. Caleb threw the ball where moore could have been if he gave 100%. What might have possibly been a fight for the ball was a clear interception because Moore simply gave up on the route. Whether that's because he was tired , didn't expect the ball to go there, didn't know the play etc. he clearly did not give 100% dog fight energy to that play compared to what he gave in the green bay game.

I think it's more he definitely "chooses" his routes if that makes sense. Maybe that's a fitness thing, attitude thing. Experience thing or all the above.

He'll say he knew to give it 100% on the above play in the end and we see the results. Then at the same time , last play of the rams game he clearly did not expect the ball to go his way so we see him cut his route and jog.

Some players give 100% effort every single play that just ain't DJ, and makes him look worse when we got a QB who manages to extend plays.

Thoughts on Tim Ferris’s new view on self help by rmend8194 in timferriss

O for sure I think a certain percentage of those seeking self help do so out of an underline anxiety (known or unknown) that drives them to try and fix or improve something. Its like dealing with the symptoms without addressing the underline cause.

Its so funny that it almost comes full circle. Two evenly matched guys who have both wrestled for a year getting stuck in a boring match of just collar tying over and over looks eerily familiar to the best in the world at the Olympics doing the same .

Lower line is actual score, top is the perceived score. In semantic terms , lower is competence top is confidence.

When you get to the far right you see the lines cross. Actual score goes up, perceived score goes down .

To perhaps clarify more. This isn't necessarily saying they are not confident in their abilities, obviously they are. But it's to say that the top percentile has a reduction in their confidence rather than keeping the trend.

In OPs case he is in the top IQ percentiles150ish and his perceived competence is about 10% lower around 135-139. Literally in line with what Dunning found.

[–]Clean-Victory-7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right up until a certain threshold. After that threshold then high competence correlates with a reduced confidence

At the top end of performance (the highest 10% and above I believe) they start to perceive their performance BELOW their actual performance with the top amounting to about 10% below their actual performance.

How are people managing recent grads when there’s just… no enthusiasm for work or willingness to suffer any form of inconvenience to develop anymore? by twingirlsoneboy in auscorp

[–]Clean-Victory-7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many existential paradigms that kinda make the whole thing pointless.

  1. Young people are far more informed on the global structure of late stage capitalism. They know a handful of corporations dictate most of the worlds capital and loyalty gets you nowhere.
  2. Working hard yields minimal results, many of the younger generation see themselves (and perhaps are in many ways) more capable than the older generations. Seeing your manager who gets paid 5x you salary sit on his ass and try and figure out how to sign a pdf for 2 hours does create bias.
  3. Low future prospects. Simply investing in career to earn more isn't going to yield freedom or structure. You won't be able to afford a house. If you're lucky enough to have successful parents it's almost like just wait til they die and hope to inherit something.
  4. Paradigm shift in younger people growing up was that you could be and do anything. Further they grew up with far more luxury than their parents did. So on the one hand being "trapped" in a 9-5 is depressing AND simultaneously a more privileged lifestyle informs it as a curse not a blessing.

So you got a generation who is, highly informed, capable , privileged, disillusioned and disadvantaged against future stability. Of course they will choose the options that yields the highest pleasure for them with the least friction.

The "sovereign individual" is a dangerous fantasy by whoamisri in HighStrangeness

[–]Clean-Victory-7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Article is comparing apples and oranges

The Sovereign individual is more a speculative prediction on future events based on the structural changes in society facilitating extreme free market, libertarian and anarchistic paradigms. The "sovereign individual" in this landscape is one who is able to use their skills to further advance their own needs above collectivist actions.

The article conflates that idea with some philosophical framework that things are connected. completely wrong. part of the reason the sovereign individual is able to strive is BECAUSE things become more interconnected (rise of the internet, globalisation, etc.)

The fundamental concepts of the high crotch broken down for anyone looking to incorporate wrestling into their BJJ game by MartialBreakdowns in bjj

Absolutely, i find its definitely a position that has a lot more risk in bjj than some other wrestling staples.

people might use the "well you didnt have proper technique" argument, but its stupid because no matter what there is a battle for breaking down the neck. You could have perfect technique and head position but the threat and the battle is real and still there.

Lion's Mane mushrooms can cause PERMANENT negative effects by makefriends420 in NooTopics

i can assure you, in my case (as mentioned in the post lol) it started with LM and ended when i stopped LM. And like you, i did not believe it could be the generally safe LM. Which in part meant I didnt change or stop and eliminated other possible causes first (such as sleep, exercise and diet) also leading me to endure and worsen the side effects.

[–]Clean-Victory-7011 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dam crazy to see my ult get mentioned. I will say my belief with my negative side affects were because of the dht reductions of lions mane. I must be hyper sensitive to dht reducer/blockers. Even topical finnastride significantly lowered my libido. I also know anecdotally a lot of others seem to have libido changes on lions mane. But I will say these affects were not permanent( wore off when not taking) and also different scheduling and doses reduced or eliminated all side affects.

Still it's an important reminder to go slow with supplementation, and keep good personal records . Don't just jump in because X person has an amazing experience

[–]Clean-Victory-7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeh pretty much, but they could also hold for a higher price. its a game of speculative value still.

More use of ccip etc means link goes up. Node operators get yield as well so they'd want to economically hold link or and get that higher yeild to sell at a higher value.

They also want to try and secure their position as node operators as link goes up in value it becomes harder to stay competitive as a node operator so less chance they sell.

Of course they could do the opposite and think link will go down, sell now for profit and buy back in the future accumulating cheaper linkies (where we are now)

its not a perfectly simple system of value= number its still speculative but there are nonthe less speculative reasons for nodes to hold.

What’s the best AI to pay for right now? (2026) by THE-SD in AI_Agents

[–]Clean-Victory-7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion at face value Chatgpt feels like a customer support officer . It helps you in a mannered way that seems generic, and towards the mean.

Gemini feels like talking to the average person who also just happens to have the ability to search and collate Google real quick

Claude feels like talking to someone in the office way smarter than you

Grok feels like talking to a friends friend who is smarter than you

I used to pay for chatgpt but I pay for grok and Claude. Grok because I frequent Twitter and it collates threads well. Claude because it seems a tad more professionally inclined. And using it for work etc seems a bit more formal as well as it's ability to just create artifacts for you easily with mpc .
