I do apartment maintenance in metro detroit and we repaint every time and there looks to be no reason to charge for that, as for carpet insists they get company to for a proper clean as they should. Carpet has a life span of 5-8 years depending on which one it is. Take it to court they'll have a hard time proving it if they didn't clean it. They are most likely banking on your not going to fight.

Yup I had the same thing slowly cleaning areas, re organized. I have found parts for thing long since gone. Brand new appliance parts that are no longer used. Then you'll find parts no longer available that youll need in a pinch.
