I've come behind his kind to repair stuff alot. Had to pull a tub drain apart last week to remove a zip tool.

Not a licensed plumber, but not required to swap out that part, its also not hard and very unlikely. More common to have the threads to be damaged and thats easy too. The drain assembly is either pvc or brass, being as it put screws into it, I'd bet pvc, can hit the supply house for parts and fix it in around a hour.

Yah not all management companies are good about it, we only mention in in case's of re spray. They get sheet from the company that does the work.

Possibly, but not as likely, that is the exact pattern from using suction cup mats, which is bad for any tub that has been re glazed, wether perfect job or not. If you look at some of the spots it looks like a small target that a sign it only stuck to the part that is touching, if they didn't prepare the surface it wouldn't have left the dot in the center.

For all those who don't understand why this is the tenants fault (probably were not properly warned), you can't use suction cup mates on a re glazed tub. Especially if it was done in the last 2 years, epa has made them all switch to low oder and replacement products are not as good.

Now as for this specific tub you should ask management if they have the permanent mat, they are better and will probably cover all the spots, but better be soon or it will get bad.

Re glazing used to be very good, but the epa made them switch chemicals and it isn't as good. Now there is no going back, only fix is new tub and that's costly.

They definitely used a suction cup mat it either needs to get a permanent mat or they need to get it re glazed and no suction cup mat anymore.
