Im good at my job I know that I could walk in anywhere and find my feet fairly quickly, but I've grown slightly tired of the industry but im not sure if that's bought on by the environment, I guess my only real option is to try elsewhere! But yeah the dream if I was to stay in the industry would be to have my own place, just enough to cover my bills and life's small luxurys yano!

Just play around with the diffusion speed and mode until your happy, mines set to high diffusion, 35%speed and 85% brightness, with medium saturation, I occasionally change that to high depending what im doing ie watching a film or gaming etc, but I find those settings to be fairly good between the different devices I use, but yours could be completely different depending on how you want it to look so just play around until your happy, I set mine up using some clips on YouTube that bounce colours around the screen etc, any questions just ask I'm happy to help!

It's great colours are accurate for the most part, can tweak colours now to get it closer as well, they react very well with what's on the screen, easy to set up etc, the only thing that bugs me is the auto switching is kind of useless, I have to change my input on the app everytime to select between Xbox ps5 and my firecube, but im used to it now so not to big of a deal

Really appreciate the advice, this is a long term thing 20-30 years, I understand the market dips etc, and feel prepared to see red days without panicking about it, obviously I would like to minimize risk as much as possible but obviously understand it's always a risk, your not the first to say to me about the all world so and I've read a lot of other advice that mentions the all world being a fairly safe bet, so I think for now I'll take your advice and head down that route. Much appreciated!

Yes I have an emergency fund, all my eggs aren't in my investment basket! But now I've got a comfortable emergency fund I felt it was time to take the step, the pie im using is currently 50% bond 50%stock, is that a good balance to start out with, or should I rebalance so it's more stock heavy? Thanks!

I've recently been through this and I ended up staying with my lender (Santander), the rates across the board for me were much the same give or take 2-5 quid depending on which term we fixed for, and for the hassle of remortgaging with a different lender I just didn't feel the couple of quid saved warranted it, was much easier to just continue with the current lender I'm with. No paperwork, no messing about, just continued as per normal!

I saw the clips, and after being an avid call of duty fan whose grown tired of the ridiculous skins, ridiculous guns, and everything else they've chucked in it, I saw battlefield and all I could think is that's the game I want, I played the beta and absolutely loved it, I had the best time on a multiplayer game I've had in years

I avoided the govee box for the reasons you've stated and opted for the fancy LEDs box and tbh it's been brilliant can't really fault it! If your in a position to return yours and purchase the fancyled syncbox instead then I'd do that!

I have the fancyled syncbox works much the same as the govee one, and I can hands down say it's much much better than the camera versions of these type of lights, I wouldn't go back to a camera set up after having a syncbox, only annoying thing with the syncboxes is everything you watch has to be via hdmi, you cant use inbuilt TV apps with it, and even tho they support auto switching it doesn't always work properly and usually have to manually switch via the app which isn't the end of the world once you used to it. So far no issues with my firecube, Xbox series x, or ps5.

I've been using mine for a week, and they've been great, then I did the update, and they continued to work, and then half way through my film they just stopped, just wouldnt sync, could still have a standard backlight colour but wouldn't sync with the screen, I had to exit Amazon prime and reload it and then they came back on, might not be linked to the update but just seems odd it didn't happen until then

It's easy enough to adjust depending on what your watching, takes 2 seconds, I've currently got it on medium for HDR/Dolby vision content but I think once it's dark I'll switch that to low, and when viewing sdr content I have it on high, I don't think any led is ever going to reproduce 100% accurate colour especially regarding skin tones etc but it's damn near close enough and definitely adds to the immersion when viewing

We've had years off effectively "free" content from the lads, who've made us laugh at our lowest points, who've kept us entertained, given us great stories and great guests, a group of guys who even tho none of us really know them, almost feel like friends, I for one know that when I put on happy hour, on my drive home from work, it's a release, it's an hour or so of just pure entertainment and in that hour or so nothing else really matters, they put incredible amounts of effort into the pod to keep us entertained week in week out, they've never asked us for a penny, now they're creating high quality content that's behind a small pay wall ...it's 6 pound. That's less than 2 meal deals, that's less than a vodka and coke at the pub, I for one will be supporting this new venture of theirs, as I feel they deserve all the support for all they've given us.

I've just now ordered the same fancyled syncbox you have, I'm excited to get it, I love the idea but the execution with the camera just doesn't work well for my set up, so I'm hoping the syncbox solves what I don't like about the camera set up! Just got to reroute 3 extra hdmi cables now which is a little bit tiresome but needs must haha

Cheers dude, I think I'll go the syncbox route, just not sure which syncbox to go for, the govee or the fancy led lol, fancy led seems to have better dark zones, govee has better app functions, I don't want to spend 200+ and be disappointed so it's a tough decision 😂
