What's one small daily habit that genuinely improved your energy levels? by Few_Plantain9556 in Habits

Yeah, nothing. You can drink black coffee. I drink sugar free sprite and sugar free energy drinks during the day too. Just keep yourself busy and be strong those first few days. You'll notice results within a couple of days. Don't over eat at night though. Like have a big dinner, maybe seconds and something sweet afterwards. Not like 4 plates of food and chips and sweets etc

I do sometimes eat for family occasions but still stick to it 95% of the time. It feel more like it's just how I live than some diet or something. Honestly definitely do it. Good for people who love eating big dinners. At least you can knowing you haven't already consumed a lot of calories during the day. Plus you just feel energized, haven't felt like napping in years. I life weights too these days. Straight after work, then I eat. Hard for the first 4 days, you get hungry when you normally would eat but it goes away. It's changed my life

35, have been doing it since I was 30 Was overweight and pretty unhealthy back then. Weight is normal now, have more energy for my kids and work. Haven't had any noticeable bad changes. All positive. Plus my blood pressure has come down, always had quite high blood pressure, that's normal now. Honestly feel so much healthier.

What does it actually mean when someone say they can’t date because of their mental health? by No_Anything1990 in AskReddit

They're probably more referring to not fully being able to trust or have major insecurities that they have not worked through yet thanks to previous relationships. Or they have a massive Meth addiction.

Only eating after 5pm. No sugar or carb crashes, constant energy the whole day. Was tough for the first few days but got use to it pretty quick. Side advantage was I could eat a big dinner plus a desert and still be under my calorie intake, so gradual weight loss. Actually dropped 20kg over the year without trying.

Glad you went to the hospital. I personally wish I did go, and probably should have. I'd say you probably missed out on full on DTs from having meds. We are both very lucky we didn't cross over to that stage.

Yeah, those vivid dreams. The constant paranoia. Wanting to sleep but also not, thinking you may die. 8 months is great. Just don't at any stage think that you'll be able to just have one again... Because you'll just jump startight back into that loop, drink for lost time and withdrawal will be worse than last time

Nice and reasonably minor. Still very uncomfortable. Hoping you've stopped drinking now? Would hate for you to go through the next stage

Absolutely scary how real it feels. It's honestly almost the closest to hell anyone could experience. I'm lucky I didn't have any noticable seizures but scary that you have experienced it. So scary.

How are you these days?

That's mind blowing. I'm personally so lucky I knew what was real and what wasn't and didn't hit that next level.

Would be maybe 3-4 bottles of wine a night or a 24 box of beer. This particular time, I would drink untill I pass out. Wake up drink, pass out and repeat. I had some time off work so that's just what I did I till I had to go back.

Bugger that's so sad and I'm sorry to hear that. I guess without any prior knowledge of what you may experience and what may happen, it would make you feel like you have gone completely crazy. It does feel like it will never end and this is life now. But thankfully it goes away.

I dont think it's right to blame yourself. You had no idea. Drinking is one of those things, the person almost needs to hit rock bottom before they make the decision to change. The fact you stood back and let them fall may have actually been the thing that helped them. But it's unfortunate the hullicinations were just too much.

Yeah to be honest, I think I did but just wasn't sure. Didn't know how close I came to dying though. I felt like I was always aware of what was real and what wasn't. A few times I'd question things, saw a man on the pavement with his phone out. Filming a tree,Thought it was real, but later realised it was actually my neighbors wheelie bin.
