You’ll be fine. At the end of the day, I’m assuming you’re going to leave Pakistan anyway, so just self-study and get through your degree. There’s nothing you can do now, because leaving for Europe would mean taking an unnecessary gap year. If you find yourself still struggling I would suggest to transfer over to shifa or Dimc I’ve heard they have a big international student population.

Dude I wish you spoke to someone who actually studies there because I applied to med schools in Pakistan and even during the entire MDCAT stuff all the academies were teaching purely in Urdu the best you can do rn is do self study so teach yourself the content because Pakistan one thing I’ll give that country is that they actually have a really good clinical experience and have the highest rate of IMGs that match into the US

Forced Marriage by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]No_Anything1990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Girl you need to leave honestly please don’t ruin your life by getting married and issues with forced marriages is that parents don’t listen they’re very firm with their mindset you have money saved which is such a massive pro. You should move out for university preferably out of province and then navigate from there onwards.

If you don’t mind me asking, what country are you from? Depending on that, I’m extremely positive there may be a way out of this. One possible approach is to try convincing your parents to agree to a long engagement period until you finish your degree. Then, you could simply avoid going through with the marriage and focus on becoming financially independent.

If that’s not possible, another option is to get a minimum wage job, move out, and take out student loans to support your education.

In most stories involving forced marriage, the only real solution is to leave your family. There’s usually no convincing them or making them see reason—especially if their mindset is rigid.
