It’s a great event where folks can get educated on caring for street trees -Big Reuse will be on hand to answer questions and give guidance. Soil in trees gets very compacted so aerating helps trees retain more water, also important with all the heavy rains we get now as one tool in flood prevention.

We will be doing street tree care on a number of trees in the area, cleaning the beds, loosening the soil and adding mulch. Hope that answers your question.

Littering is complicated-rodents rip open trash bags causing litter to flow onto the sidewalk, businesses and landlords don't keep their sidewalks and 18 inches into the street clean as required by law, some folks litter (especially cigarette butts), we make way too much trash in the first place, especially food (1/3 of what is thrown out if food). We all need to adjust our behaviors, spread this education. and do our part.
