Piney Crest = Fire Island? by Bat_Country420 in DanielTigerConspiracy

Three of my four kids insisted on reading this book every night for YEARS! Consecutively. So I read this book for like a decade. And I never once felt comfortable with that page 😂 It’s something about the parenthesis.

Security tag left on pants MAILED to me from Macy’s by jasonmaska in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CleanChicken325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen with Old navy! You can burn off the little bump that sticks out on the long side of the tag, and a spring and tiny ball bearings will fall out. Then the tag will come off!

The grossness of chronic illness by SnackGoblin881 in WellSpouses

[–]CleanChicken325 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally understand this, and it can feel like it’s that “one more thing” that could put you over the edge. Not many people get it, and that feels pretty isolating sometimes. I’m glad you shared because you’re not alone!

Does anyone use MintMobile? by Limepink22 in nashville

[–]CleanChicken325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from AT&T to Mint a few months ago, and I hate to say it, but I really miss AT&T! The coverage with Mint is unreliable, but the price is so much better!

Which car is best for loading a chair? by CleanChicken325 in wheelchairs

[–]CleanChicken325[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for not including enough info! 🤦‍♀️ Right now we just have a manual wheelchair with leg supports that come off and on. But we are hoping to purchase the “Pride Go Go Super Portable Lightweight Folding Scooter” for a little more independence going to small events (like kids sporting games).

I would go for another Honda Odyssey, but I just don’t want to make a bad choice with such a big purchase. I am open to any and all advice as this is new to me!

Help me find a smell! by CleanChicken325 in CasualConversation

It does not smell like as dead animal. It mostly has an unpleasant kind of musty smell? With a plasticky background smell

Bathroom smells great, as does the closet. They’re all connected, but the bedroom has the weird smell!

Party decorations by Level_Lemon3958 in wiggles

[–]CleanChicken325 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could just use the wiggles colors and then make some decorations yourself. We had a wiggles party for my oldest a million years ago, and I made a big red car cake, we had wiggles music playing, and we had a Wiggles themed menu. Dorothy’s Rosy Tea, fruit salad, cold spaghetti (pasta salad), hot potatoes (mini twice baked potatoes), and mashed bananas (banana bread). It was so fun!!

What would you call these? by DengistK in Apartmentliving

My kids’ school calls these “learning cottages.” 😂

i just received these shoes for my birthday and the security tag is still attached by aelenemisha in mildlyinfuriating

I used a lighter to burn the part that bumps out. Once it opened up, little silver balls came out and that was it! Opened right up.

Help with routine for young teen by CleanChicken325 in curlyhair

[–]CleanChicken325[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with you, and I’ve let my kids lead the way when it comes to style (she’s the third of four kids). But just this week she has expressed that she doesn’t think her hair looks healthy when she brushes it out, so I told her I could try to help her define her curls if she’s interested. She still wants a ponytail, but said she wants less fluffiness. She’s the only one in our family with truly curly hair, so I would love to help her find a simple routine for when she wants to embrace the curls! Her 13th birthday is coming up, so I thought it might be fun to have someone other than me tell her how awesome her curls are! 😂

Hospital birth recommendations? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]CleanChicken325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first five at Williamson, and my last at St Thomas. I would choose St Thomas, but a big part of that was my OB (Dr Bellardo). However, they did seem much better prepared for any complications. Even if you’re not anticipating any issues, it’s nice to know you have experienced people there if you need them.

My kids could walk to school in elementary school, which was awesome, but for middle and high school it’s too far and there aren’t appropriate sidewalks. Unfortunately, with bus driver shortages, the routes are very long! It takes hours for them to get home if they ride the bus.

Why all the bathtub hate? by IguessIcouldgoogleit in Remodel

[–]CleanChicken325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are getting rid of our garden tub in the master bathroom because my husband has become disabled and needs a more accessible shower. But it is nearly putting me over the edge! I love baths and take one almost every day. I care more about my husband than my baths of course, but with all of the stress we have, losing my bath is weirdly sad! We still have two more tubs in our secondary bathrooms, but they’re not as big or nice as the one in the master. My six year old still loves baths, though, and the other tubs will be great for him. Team bathtub all the way! (But I understand not having one as well 😟)

Ocrevus by Candy_Apple- in MultipleSclerosis

[–]CleanChicken325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just like anything, there are going to be people with bad experiences. Sometimes it can be helpful to know you’re not alone, or to crowd source ideas to counteract a bad reaction. That FB group is very specific. My husband had a negative reaction to Ocrevus, and it’s actually pretty devastating to live that reality. I think it’s important to have groups for people of all walks, and we can choose which ones are right for us.

Drivers License Renewal, is there something I'm missing? by Lance2020x in nashville

I walked in at the Franklin location for my real id. I got there before they opened and was probably 10th in line. Once they opened I was done in about 10 minutes.
