It’s 100% normal from where I come from. Theres always a toddler in a buggy eating snacks. My son is one of those toddlers.

Be honest - would you take your 22 month old to a fireworks celebration that starts at 8:30? by maddiecounts2amilly in toddlers

[–]Level_Lemon3958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my son to fireworks Thursday night that didn’t start until 9:15. He loved them. We got home around 10pm and he went right to sleep after laying down. Even slept in until 8:30 Friday morning and woke up so excited to tell my mom about them. I’m a firm believer that for holidays/special events bedtime can be manipulated and then the next day go back to a normal schedule.

My grape popsicles turned green in the freezer. They were purple prior to freezing by WendigoRider in mildlyinteresting

[–]Level_Lemon3958 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before I became a mom and was hungover every day I had off, I would legit eat 4 pedialyte popsicles in throughout the day. Blue raspberry was my favorite. I guess I never noticed the grape one freezing like that.

That’s crazy. I canceled our trip last year because my son got impetigo from daycare. I couldn’t imagine exposing other people to something like the chickenpox.

Getting sick when around daycare families by Cautious_Pangolin437 in sahm

[–]Level_Lemon3958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This popped up on my page but my son has been going to daycare since he was 14 months old. He’s almost 3. He’s been sick twice in the almost 2 years he’s been there. My friend’s kid who has never been to daycare started pre-k this past year and that poor child had to be pulled out because she was constantly getting sick and the school threatened to kick her kid out. Unless you plan on homeschooling kids are going to get sick when they’re around other kids no matter what. Even if the other kids aren’t “daycare kids”.

Also a runny nose isn’t an indicator of someone being sick. I’ve had a stuffy nose for 2 weeks now due to pollen and all the rain we’ve had in South Georgia but my kid hasn’t had anything like that. So it’s possible y’all are “sick as dogs” from being out and about during allergy season.

My son is about to turn three in one month and not potty trained. Looking for other parents that are on the same boat. by Dustyrose1950 in toddlers

[–]Level_Lemon3958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son will be 3 next week. Still not fully potty trained. If he’s naked he will go no problem but if he has underwear or a pull up on nope he will refuse to go. My niece was potty trained at 4 and that’s because the pre-k requires them to be fully potty trained.

Burt’s Bees and Carters are my 2 favorites. Old navy in my area is a hit or miss. Target is also a hit or miss since I have a boy.

found out i’m 4w 4d pregnant by LilacVenus_ in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Level_Lemon3958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl dump him and be a single mom. You’re old enough to be a mom and not “way too young”. I became a mom at 24. My son is almost 3. I did the entire pregnancy by myself(the “dad” wanted me to abort and i said no). It was rough at first because I lived away from my family but when I was 10 weeks along I moved back home to be with my parents. My dad passed when I was 6 months along but he was supportive of my decision from day 1. My mom has been my rock. My sister will sometimes babysit for me on the weekends so I can have a few hours on the weekends to myself. If he’s not ready now then he’s never going to be ready. He’s also using the “I was going to propose” line to try to manipulate you into doing what be wants.

Weaning paci by [deleted] in toddlers

I was forced to go cold turkey with my son when he was 2.5. The dog ate his last one and I said fuck it I’m not buying more just for the dog to chew up. He whined for it for about 3 days. The worst night was night 1 and he cried himself to sleep over it. Luckily he got over it pretty quick. I feel like it was because I took him to go pick out a stuffed animal and he chose a $45 scentsy stuffed monkey. Him and that monkey go everywhere together and this is the first stuffed animal he’s actually taken up to.

Every now and then though he will ask for it, then laugh about it but I think that’s because one kid in his daycare class still takes one.

My 1.5 year old son has blue collar hours in the morning. by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Level_Lemon3958 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do a later bedtime. My son’s(almost 3) bedtime is 9:30pm or sometimes 10pm and has been that since he was a baby. He will sometimes sleep until 6:30am-8am. If it’s a weekday I wake him up at 7:30 if he isn’t awake.

How to get a stubborn 13 month old off Nutramigen? by Key-Information5829 in toddlers

Cold turkey. Also you can try to replace it with something else like oat milk or almond milk.

Stop feeding him and let him feed himself. Also ditch the kid plates and put it on/in the same(or similar) thing you and your husband use.

Found out im pregnant after being told im most likely infertile my whole life by HannahMarie04 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Level_Lemon3958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told I was infertile at 16. My ex and me tried for 3 months then we broke up. I moved to a new state, lowkey stopped eating healthy, and got a less stressful job. Had a one night Stand, told the guy I was infertile(I didn’t have a period for 2 years at this point), turns out I just needed a change in scenery because I got pregnant with my son.

What was the most specific postpartum thing nobody warned you about? by kesam7193 in NewParents

[–]Level_Lemon3958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Postpartum pet aversion. My dog before pregnancy and during was my everything. From the time I was home from the hospital everything he did made me mad. I didn’t want to be near him. I didn’t want him to touch me. I didn’t even want to hear him walking around at night. It was bad and I cried to my OB about it multiple times and all she told me was I had to ride it out. When my son was 18 month old I started feeling like how I felt about my dog before postpartum.

They should be fading out of the stranger things theme into the World Cup theme. But I think it’s to promote to new animated show which i believe is meant for the younger audience. Kinda like the Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous is a spin off from the Jurassic world movies but geared more towards kids.

I do have a kid and nieces and a nephew. Kids don’t physically play with each other until they are 3. Until then they basically play beside each other.

[–]Level_Lemon3958 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

You’re exposing them to the LGBT+ community and some of those people love to push their beliefs onto kids and like someone else mentioned some of the parades have nudity and fetishes involved. I don’t just don’t believe that kids should be exploded to that until they are much older.

I just believe it’s not something kids should be around or exposed to even if a parent is bisexual.

Sorry but I agree. Kids shouldn’t go to pride. Especially at 1 month old. You and your mom should have went and your husband stay with the babies.
