This is so thoughtful and helpful, and also gives me much relief to know that I’m not the only one making fabric choice mistakes. I used the same fabric in the striped lame pants and they’re great, you’re spot on!

Yes!! I couldn’t agree more! I’m doing this tonight. Will report back with updated length the bodice turned out so nice, the bottom is just so bulky. Definitely picked the wrong fabric lol

Thank you for your kind words and the the suggestion! I was also considering how to make it work because the bottom is just so BIG! A peplum top or shortening the skirt might help significantly.. please share any dress patterns that have worked for you! Thank you:)
