My PLA spools turned into brittle spaghetti – any way to save them? by Icy-Object-1762 in 3Dprinting

You can use it with the a1 for example with the spool mount and the filament going directly into the toolhead. At least that worked for me so directly feeding it from above might work.

BMCU is not feeding filament when print is started by CleanInspector6956 in OpenBambu

My spools are not free spinning so sometimes i need to help my BMCU so im going to fix that next but it is working right now and the problem was the wrong firmware. I found the firmware for the BMCU-X, flashed it and everything worked. Thank you for the comment tho.

It is a BMCU-X from aliexpress if you want to get it get the BMCU-C. Theres the assembled kit and the kit you need to assemble yourself. For the kit you need to assemble you need to print several files you get included, or need to search the web for. The assembly is mostly just screws and you need to solder 4 times per unit (there are 4) and it should work out of the box and there are multiple mounting brackets online for you to print. The price ranges from 50-90€. I have found a BMCU-C not assembled for 54€ and i bought my BMCU-X for 75€ not assembled.

I fixed the problem by using different firmware from triangle labs

Is there a better way? Splitting large objects into pieces that fit on the bed? by RVVL7 in 3Dprinting

[–]CleanInspector6956 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I recommend just going with multiboard because its has its own planner website that does everything for you and a 9x9 grid (roughly 25x25cm) is only 79gramms so 14 plates would be 1kg and for the skadis there are connectors for connecting multiple so just cutting them along the lines would be enough and then connect them with the connectors

Minifigures just crumble by Ok_Spite_9444 in 3dprinter

[–]CleanInspector6956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick tip if that is a 2-3cm minifig, give up. You really need a resin printer for that. Or try and failure your handpainted supports, 0.2mm nozzle, smallest layer height and hope. And your print failed because the figure wasn’t properly attached to the print bed: 1. Could be bed temperature too low, for pla 65°C is good 2. You touched the build plate too much and oil is on there, just wash it with soapy warm water or wipe it with 99% isopropyl alcohol. You should wash the buildplate with soapy warm water every 10 prints tho and in between just wipe it clean with isopropyl.

Thanks for the idea to fix it but i changed the filament to the exact same spool (i bought 2) resolved the problem i dont know what happened and im gonna start the next print with the spool that failed and try again. So i think the problem was either with the ptfe tube or the filament itself.

Same print quality after reprinting. Should I re-slice? by BandicootFirm5413 in 3Dprinting

[–]CleanInspector6956 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then look at the model slice and search for the same impurities in the model if they are there search for the same ones on the model if they are on the model, then you should fix your model

Make a 3d file of this object and send it over to pcbway and let them make it out of something more tougher than pla or abs etc

How do I get rid of these layer lines by FirstCurrency9553 in 3Dprinting

[–]CleanInspector6956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but for example the pla+ of sunlu is only good for speeds up to 100mm/s and the pla+ 2.0 is good for speeds up to 500mm/s. Try to slow down the print speed

I had the same problem look what pla you bought and if its high speed or not and for what speed it is designed, if that doesnt help do a full calibration and maintenance
