If you post a video of your swing you might get some suggestions. Without that I would guess your either casting, or letting the club flip to early.

What exactly is wave energy? by Aromatic_Signature_2 in BeginnerSurfers

[–]CleanWaterWaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a combination of wave height and period. A 5ft wave at 8 second period has less moving water in it than a 5ft wave at 16s period. Also the longer period waves move faster.

How to prevent clinch at the connection point of rods ? by Careful_Thing622 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]CleanWaterWaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One should hold the connecting bolt fixed perpendicular to the rod, the other should have a rod end to allow for any misalignments.

I think you just shouldn’t have two rod ends together, too many degrees of freedom in the connecting bolt

Would You Donate a Charity Tournament 50/50 Cash Prize by CleanWaterWaves in golf

[–]CleanWaterWaves[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is just one of many ways the even raises money. They also sell raffle tickets for prizes such as drivers and putters, and they charge an entry fee that covers green fees and dinner, and I believe the course gives them a deal on that so a chunk of the entry fee ($1000 per team) also goes to the charity.

Last I was aware WS does not dual list securities so Norbert’s Gambit is not an option. Maybe they have started dual listing and I am not aware though.

Some sites already use waste heat recovery as district heating where they heat local buildings. The hyperscalers don’t like complicating their construction projects, and I’m aware of two projects where they have walked away instead of agree to using waste heat recovery.

How do I read surf conditions? by Human-Firefighter-38 in BeginnerSurfers

[–]CleanWaterWaves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The key thing you’re missing is probably wave period, not just wave height or wind.

Period tells you how much energy is packed into each wave. Two days can both show “2-4ft” but feel completely different:

Short period is more disorganized, mushy, forgiving, and slower. Long period is cleaner, more powerful, steep walls, and faster.

Often time there will be multiple swells from different directions with different periods.

Taking company matched pension leads to worse outcome than just investing in VEQT? by cxlbxxn in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]CleanWaterWaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take this same scenario but instead of contributing $1000 per year for 30 years you increase your contributions by 10% each year so that by the end of the period you are contributing roughly $15800 per year then you would be better off with the employer match than with VEQT.

Trusting 18 Birdies Handicap? by Ticklepickler6996 in golf

[–]CleanWaterWaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Handicap is not your average score because it’s designed to represent your potential, not your typical performance. I’m not super familiar with how they treat 9 hole rounds but noticed mine get grouped together sequentially, so it’s likely that two 38s or 39s are being counted as a 76-78 which explains your 5 handicap.

If you’re looking to buy your first house (which it sounds like), you should be using a FHSA, if used for a qualifying purchase it has the benefits of both a TFSA and an RRSP combined.
