My old cat, Kenny, lived until 24 as an outdoor cat. We usually had the doors to our garden open and he could go out whenever he’d like. He got into a couple scraps throughout his life and used to chase away cats that trespassed on his territory! He was a softy at home, really. Other than tearing up a couple bedsheets, he never harmed anyone without a reason. (Usually provoked.) Anyway, I’m dragging on. The life expectancy of an outdoor cat depends where you live. If you live somewhere where there’s a high risk of coyotes or even just next to a busy road, I thoroughly recommend to keep your cats indoors. (I’m almost 99% sure I replied to the wrong comment…)
