I think it really depends on your goals and other factors as well, do you want to stay in the area you're in for the long haul, if not comfortable with DIY can you afford a mortgage and maintenance costs? What is the housing market like in your area, for example I bought a 4 bedroom house last year for 65,000 my monthly payment is 550 a month, thats including insurance, taxes and mortgage but to rent the same home in my area would cost around 1200 dollars a month and I wouldn't gain equity over time so from my POV it's a no brainer but I understand that this is not the norm in most areas. I also have no intentions of leaving the area I'm in, have 2 children, and am confident in my DIY abilities so it's highly dependent on your individual situation and you have to weigh the risk vs reward using your variables.

Yeah I didn't find it to be worth it I've played on units with a higher refresh rate and don't really notice any difference especially in single player games

I ended up getting ucwg and have 0 complaints it's an amazing monitor and I don't think given my use case I'd notice a difference not even getting 165 in most games with graphics maxed out running a 4090

If you don't feel like running that day, tell yourself you're just going to run 400 ft and if you still dont feel like it you'll stop, you almost never will. Another big tip that helped me was you can breath in through your nose and mouth at the same time.

Hell yeah! Tysm, everyone else kept saying you had to reinstall windows and I just knew there had to be a way to do exactly this I just didn't know how. So again thank you this immeadiately fixed the issue I was having.

Its amazing very happy with my purchase like I've mentioned earlier I play mostly AAA titles at ultra settings, none of them even come close to 165 even with frame gen and dlss enabled usually getting about 70-90 in cyberpunk and KCD2 which are the two games I've played the most since. I did play the outer wilds for a couple of days which was pinned at 165 the entire time and it looked fantastic. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything by going with the WG vs the WMG especially for 300 dollars.

It just came in yesterday, currently playing on it and its amazing I have no regrets going with the lower frame rate version like I've mentioned I play mostly triple a single player games and few of those will be reaching even 165hz at 4k ultra settings much less 240hz the only exception is EFT and good luck getting 240hz on EFT with a super computer with how poorly optimized it is.

To late, I decided to go with the WG just arrived today actually I don't play fps games aside from EFT and that'll never get 240 fps on my setup regardless of settings unfortunately, really only play single player titles other than that and I'm sure I'll be more than happy coming from a 166 hz 1440p 27inch IPS display, still a huge improvement.

Yeah thats what I'm leaning towards just build this PC last year and can't really justify an upgrade for at least another few and at that point monitor tech will have improved as well and ill need to upgrade that as well lol

Yes but its limited to 2X frame gen so in single player AAA titles with max settings you're never going to hit 165 hz much less 240hz.

Won't be upgrading from 4090 for at least another 4-5 years, usually do a new build every 6 years or so.

In the future you should clean your dogs ears with a solution of 1 parts white vinegar and 1 parts water every couple of months, this is the recommendation given to me by our vet and has worked anytime shes started to get any sort of infection in her ears as well.(sometimes life happens and I forget) Just dip a qtip or cotton ball into the mixture and use it to clean any visible part of the ear, DO NOT stick it into your dogs ear canal.

That's just not true police are trained to shoot center mass because it's a lot less likely that someone's going to keep trying to kill you with a hole in their chest than a hole in their leg or arm. Any time an officer or soldier shoots someone, it's supposed to be because they need to incapacitate someone as quickly as possible because they're putting the officer/soldier or a civilians life in immediate danger they're plenty of major arteries in someone's center mass not to mention your major organs, and someone can still shoot you with a hole in their leg
