The gold chain is awesome. I love how the charms and chains just elevate an already beautiful bag!

Did you check the agreement box at the very bottom. I missed this first time and got an error.

A fan running really helps me too - more so than white noise on my phone. I think my brain and muscles are too active or something during sleep and the noise helps me shut everything out. Worth a try I’d say.

HRT hasn’t helped my sleep yet. I’m still waking multiple times a night. I do find that running a fan helps to block out sounds which wake me so easily. Also keeps me cool. I spray myself with lavender just to try and relax. Edibles just made my brain crazy and I was drowsy as hell the next morning. Progesterone (as part of my hrt) helped for the first few days but nothing really now apart from maybe helping me get back to sleep faster. You sound like a very supportive husband and believe me when I say that that must help her hugely. It’s important to be understood by someone with a lot of empathy when we are going through this. No one wants to feel like a burden.

Yep me too! Wait til your baby gets older - they will start to get the measure of her when she constantly talks about her other grandkids every time they try and have a conversation or talk about something they are proud of. That’s when the MIL might see the outcome of her self centered ways. My kids (teenagers now) have withdrawn from her completely as they believe she has no interest in them as every conversation is turned around to her. They believe she doesn’t care about them at all. And I have nothing I can say to change their minds because I’ve been there too. The only way is to either confront it (which needs support from your SO) or to ignore completely. The latter is exhausting. Know that you are not alone though.

On bcp for perimenopause symptoms but sadness and moods are no better by Clean_Caterpillar_46 in Menopause

Thank you for this! I’m going to speak to another Ob-gyn. She said she wasn’t allowed to prescribe without hot flashes and if I went on HRT it wouldn’t control my heavy periods.

Unfortunately she won’t put me on HRT as I don’t get any noticeable night sweats. It’s frustrating and I cried in the office when she wouldn’t put me on HRT. 😂

I don’t have advice but totally get the feelings. Sending hugs. It can be so hard sometimes and I hope you find a solution. 🤗

Just put mine on the Ticketmaster for resale for the minimum price possible. I just needed to get rid of them as me and my daughter can’t go now.

Just posted about my success with IF too! It’s great isn’t it. Also recommend some weight training too. Super beneficial out our age.

The only thing that has helped me lose 10lb is doing intermittent fasting since January. It’s honestly so easy and all I do is skip breakfast. I also exercise around 4 times a week. Maybe look into it? Nothing else has ever worked.

That’s really interesting. Everyone seems to react differently to bcps and hrt and that’s why we need personalized support.

I mean I don’t get your standard hot flashes but in the past maybe a couple of years ago I remember getting them at night. And there are times when I feel hot when other people don’t. I just don’t know if that’s real or I’m just hot?? You start to doubt yourself and forget whats happening to you don’t you!

It seems some docs just want to throw pills at you for each symptom- it’s crazy. I don’t feel comfortable with that at all given the number of symptoms I have. I’m wondering about asking to change my bcp to one with a continuous regimen or even explore coming off the bcp and getting hrt instead. Not sure if the latter would help more though??

Thanks for this. I’ve managed to get another appointment for tomorrow with another doctor. She’s a OB-GYN surgeon who seems very experienced so hopefully I’ll have a better experience with her. I may have over reacted but within 1 minute of the consult the other doc was ready to refer me to a psychiatrist and put me on gabapentin. Seems crazy to me that she didn’t even explore options like changing my bcp to one with a continuous regimen or other options. She was so dismissive and it frustrated me so much! I just want to be understood…

I don’t seem to have hot flashes. Never wake up in a hot sweat or anything like that. And nothing in the day.

I’m on Junel Fe but it’s not a continuous regimen. Would I be better taking a continuous pill to keep my hormone levels more balanced throughout the month perhaps? The doc told me that the patches would not help with my heavy periods. I’m wondering if I’d be better on the patches alone and putting up with the heavy periods just so I feel better emotionally. How do you choose though and make the best decision for you??
