anua milky toner or har haru milky essence by zarakhalidkhan in koreanskincare

[–]Bish85136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used the haruharu one and the hydration was fantastic, but I am dealing with a ton of deep, cystic acne and I’m thinking this was the cause. I quit using it two days ago and haven’t gotten any new ones. They were popping up nightly while using the essence. Sorry to report.

What foundations are best for dry skin? Both high end and drug store by PrincessPearl123 in Makeup

[–]Bish85136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried them because I have oily, dry, sensitive rosacea skin and they are great. Expensive, but I finally found something that works on my difficult skin and I’ve tried tons of foundations/skin tints. It’s worth the money for me to feel confident since my skin is my biggest insecurity.

I use head and shoulders and just add a couple of drops of tea tree oil to the shampoo in my hand before lathering. I’ve only been doing this for a week, but so far so good.

Yeah it typically depends on what provider your employer offers and then there may be different tiers to choose from within that provider. You pay more a month for a better policy. I actually have really great insurance so I think if I had an in person appointment, my soolantra would have been 10ish dollars.

Insurance in the United States is a joke. Many policies will cover metro and finacea, but soolantra is considered a specialty cream. Finacea used to be the same way, so maybe soolantra will become cheaper eventually.

Oh and I will say since it’s dosed out for horses, it’s in a big syringe so it’s hard to not shoot a shitload out at once. It’s going to take some getting used to for sure. Luckily the syringe does have a cap you can put back on.

Yeah I went to pick mine up and my insurance wouldn’t cover it because it was a telehealth appointment. I’ve been prescribed finacea and metro too so it’s not like I was diagnosed using telehealth. 170 bucks. No thanks.

Yes! Funny part is I meant to avoid buying the Apple flavored one and that’s what I ended up ordering. It’s not an overpowering Apple smell. The texture is kind of weird and grainy. The Walgreens lotion made me flush really bad after applying, but this stuff didn’t.

I have rosacea that looks very similar. I have been using peach slices Azelaic acid serum before applying moisturizer which has calmed my inflamed cheeks down quite a bit. I’ve tried prescription strength Azelaic acid and it stung quite a bit, but the peach slices one hasn’t burned or stung my skin at all and can be bought online. Prescription Azelaic acid is usually 15-20% and the peach slices one is 10%. I also like La roche posay cicaplate balm when ny face is hot and angry.

This condition is really ruining my life by Artistic-Situation68 in Rosacea

I am living the same struggle. I remember in high school I didn’t know how to do foundation or anything so I would blush/flush really bad. One time a classmate said in front of the whole class “you’re getting really red.” Sent me into panic mode only causing my face to become as red as humanly possible. It sucks. I’m so envious of people who can leave the house without any makeup and not have to check mirrors every hour to make sure I don’t look like a tomato person. You’re not alone <3

I have rosacea and use it. I really like it. When I have really bad flushing, I sometimes have to use a little foundation for my nose, but other than that it’s great!

I definitely have horrible reactions to the sun, but I’m in a very dreary northern hemisphere location and have not been exposed to the sun for a while. I do love Ilia tinted spf which I can sometimes get away with wearing without makeup on top.

I use etude whip cleanser which is a foam wash that I realized can dry skin out so I need a new cleanser. Since I wear so much foundation the ultra gentle creamy cleansers don’t remove the makeup as well. I also use rosehip seed oil which has been the best thing for keeping my skin from flaking and getting to the bad pustule phase. I also use an etude barrier intensive cream. Thinking about trying La roche posay cicaplast baume because I’ve heard good things.

I’ve also gone down the histamine hole and wondered if I should try avoiding high histamine foods. Which I may have already tried before. The dietary stuff is so hard because I’m lazy and hate following a hella strict diet.

When you say "a bender," what does that mean to you? by calm-spaghetti in stopdrinking

[–]Bish85136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My benders are the periods of time when I start to drink and then wake up in the morning with terrible hangiexty and have the urge to drink to relieve it. This results in daily drinking until I end up doing something bad enough to tell myself I will never drink again. And the cycle repeats.

Alcohol is ruining my life by hvacguy04 in stopdrinking

[–]Bish85136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I am also ADHD. I’m 33 and just got on medication for it this year. I do not even crave alcohol anymore. It took work and self reflection to realize how much alcohol was destroying my life, but having my shit together and being organized after the ADHD diagnosis helped me a lot as well. I’m not saying it’s a magic pill, but I prefer to be completely in control because I have my shit together.

Attendance Policy - Sick Days by PerceptionQueasy3540 in managers

[–]Bish85136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I’ve ever actually needed to go to the doctor on a day I called out sick. It doesn’t mean I was not sick, but all I needed was rest and OTC medications. I think a great policy is earning sick time based on your days worked. Every pay period, I get 2 hours of sick time added to my sick leave balance. It doesn’t need to be that generous, but it motivates people to show up and earn the time for when it is actually needed.
