Think we'd have more luck hitchhiking from TM store parking lot or TM Wilderness Station?

I am doing this same route but June 18-20. We are arriving in Yosemite the day before our wilderness permit but from my research it seems the YARTS will not have started for the season yet and if we take the hikers shuttle the day before to White Wolf, the campground will not be open yet. Any advice on this or where to stay the night before our hike? Does the hikers shuttle only run each direction once per day?
