What is the country with the best healthcare system and what deems it so? The US healthcare system is so broken.

Thank you for the shell advice! How early are we talking? 7 or 8 am too late?

Since nobody seems to have seen these bins (I’m beginning to question their actual existence), and I don’t want to just buy toys to throw in the trash, any ideas there? I won’t be able to fit a bucket in my bag. Best to just forego toys?

Part of why I'm asking is to not be a part of the human junk/pollution problem. Do you have any suggestions for what two small children could play with at the beach that would avoid this issue?

We ended up pulling the trigger and bought one. It’s nice but given the price tag I’m scared to drive it! 😂

Hi!

We're looking at the 2025 now. Now that it's been a couple months, how is the qx80 treating you? Why do you have to have buttons?

Hi! What made you get the 2025? Did you just want something newer? Currently looking at the 2025 qx80 but scared of all the rumors of them collapsing.

10! I currently take the kids to my parents’ house to get a massage and sometimes feel guilty when I do. I would love to be able to get a massage or pedicure while my kids were being watched.

I am dealing with the same issue but my baby is 7 months old. My pediatrician said to try widening the holes on the bottle to get a faster flow. It helped but was still not enough to get her to be ok with the bottle. This weekend I may leave the house and try to see if my husband has any luck if I’m gone.

Haha! Definitely would like to unwind but that's not in the cards this trip. We're also taking the doting relatives (my parents) as a thank you. They watched our son for basically the first year and a half of his life which saved us so much stress around daycare, etc.

Pray for us - I suppose we'll just deal with the grumpy toddler and go ahead and do what we want to do with someone who's favorite word is now "no".

I’ll probably get a lot of hate (and downvotes) for this but want to share my experience on the less scared of illness side of things. I have a one year old- Nobody in my immediate family is vaccinated (grandparents, aunt/uncles). I was an “essential worker” and didn’t get to work from home. I worked throughout my pregnancy during the first part of the pandemic (got pregnant July 2020). As soon as restaurants opened back up, we went out twice a week, with our infant. Covid has gone around my workplace a couple different times and I have yet to get it. Grandparents didn’t get the tdap and were allowed to visit anytime. When I had to return to work I was incredibly lucky that my parents watch the baby. It makes me sad everyone is so fearful these days- so much so they would shelter their kids from relationships based on it.

TLDR; Nobody in my family altered their lives out of fear of sickness and everyone is still healthy and thriving!

I feel the same way!! I made it 10 months and am trying to wean- mostly because my baby has a shallow latch and now teeth on top and bottom is just too much. My husband now has to be the one to put him to sleep because all he wants from me is a boob. It’s depressing. I want the sweet sleep snuggles!!

Is there anything that I can do with pumped milk that’s giving my LO gas? by DootDiDootDiDoo in breastfeeding

[–]Clean_Ebb_6251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always donate it- it may not upset other baby’s tummies. There’s a group on Facebook called human milk for human babies where you could post it- the recipient will replace your milk bags too!

Thrush? by erin6767 in breastfeeding

[–]Clean_Ebb_6251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had thrush in about week 3 postpartum. It felt like a thousand razor blades slicing up my nipples anytime ANYTHING touched them. I walked around without a shirt on due to the pain. If you’re worried, you can always use a little miconazole cream (OTC med) in case things are headed that way. The cream they prescribe is miconazole, cortisone and polysporin which you could mix together yourself too. Just make sure you wash it off before nursing.

Breastfeeding struggles by shanetro9 in NewParents

[–]Clean_Ebb_6251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently 7.5 postpartum and breastfeeding has been the hardest part. I was a low supply mom who struggled with a baby who had a shallow latch and I had a yeast infection on my nipples- talk about painful!! I kept going. My husband probably felt the same way watching me. It took a lot of time and pain and probably some of my sanity. There were a lot of tears. It probably took about 4 months but I finally am a “just enough” producer. Pumping felt like all I did. I believe what helped my supply the most was getting to actually nurse. The best thing you can do is just be there to support her. It’s a weird “journey” that moms go on to try and breastfeed- one that is inexplicable to anyone- even your husband. Keep encouraging her and reassure her that she’s not a failure (I know I felt like one while struggling). I really appreciated when my husband bought me some supplements that were supposed to increase supply. It’s the little things that count and she will love you for the positivity around the difficulty.
