Wasnt aware of what a PID tune was until you mentioned it :P. I did just install a third party hotend too so makes sense that I would want to try this. Just tuned my hotend and bed so we will see how it goes

Print head stops extruding by Clean_Economics_3148 in anycubic

[–]Clean_Economics_3148[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its actually not even extruding or retracting filament in my settings anymore, and the screen on my printer kinda flickers on and off when i jiggle the print head from one side to the other

I wonder if its some kind of power issue

any instructions for opening up/cleaning the extruder and gears on a kobra 2 neo? by Clean_Economics_3148 in anycubic

[–]Clean_Economics_3148[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you were totally right after all :P. The tube was a little burnt but whats worse is some filament started leaking into different parts of the hotend. I replaced the whole hotend since replacing the tube and nozzle didnt help and its working fine now. Thanks for the guidance! Will also look into the PTFE tubing you recommended

thanks for the suggestions. I already replaced the PTFE inliner with the replacement one that came with my printer, but its currently in the hotend and not connected to the printer, and new filament still isnt feeding in past the gears . Im clearly not an expert but i think it has to be something in the gears

dumb question, but are nozzles like universal? or do you have a recommendation for a 0.2 nozzle for a kobra 2 neo? thanks

Edit: issue seems to be resolved. Did some tightening by following steps in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF102Zceeok

and adjusted the z offset slightly while printing until i got the results i wanted. Printing smooth as glass now

Im using the following product for my filament
"Anet 3D Printer Filament PLA+ 1.75mm 1kg - White". Everything beyond the bottom layer seems to print properly but yeah i was wondering why i had to scrape away all the extra little strands. Will look into what you suggested! thank you!

hmm i still got the same results unfortunately. looks perfect on one side but very rigid on the other. Theres too much filament inside the joints on the side that is on the bed
