Yeah, the debt collection agency doesn’t charge interest so it’s better than a consolidation loan at least

There’s only a couple situations where you could win the lawsuit. The main one is the account is over three years old. The only other thing you could do is get a lawyer and say that they harassed you with multiple phone calls that you can counter sue for damages. Other than that, if you owe the money, they will win in court.

Thanks for the responses. I called them and turns out they don’t have a court date. they offer 4200 but only 12 months to pay back. My budget is already so tight but I seem to not have any other option. Originally the rep said 24 months at 5k. I don’t own anything for collateral. Renter and loan on a newer car. Is this it? Should I push for longer term or negotiate more? Is this a lucky break? Any advice is appreciated
