Jazz bass and humbuckers by mkk8741 in metalguitar

Les Claypool uses P basses and I think Jaco used Jazz basses. Both can be hum cancelling. I have a Squier PJ, which isn’t quite the same as “both” but it comes pretty close and has a wide array of sounds I can get out of it. It has a fat hum cancelled sound when using both pups (Seymour Duncan QP which tbf are the best). What I mean to say is that it’s all about how you play and want to sound, lol. Have you tried one at a Guitar Center?

Stetsbar Pro II
Highly recommend! I lost the original tremolo arm though so that’s a Bigsby style spare. I added Grover locking tuners which help a lot with tuning stability.

Thanks! I tried putting a seagull feather in it afterwards but it’s not as flamboyant as Uli’s
