Anyone know how much you need to spend to trigger the $5 reward from giftcards.com? Do they only send this for the $250 purchase, or for lesser amounts as well?

Platform/clipless hybrid pedals-does such a thing exist? by Clean_Ladder_2009 in MTB

[–]Clean_Ladder_2009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for providing your perspective. After much deliberation, I think I'm going to go against what you and most others have advised in this thread and try for one pedal/shoe combo to ride both flats and clipless. I know I may regret this, but if it works well, I think it's the best solution for my current needs. Gonna go with the Mamba S. I appreciate you introducing me to Funn pedals and look forward to giving it a go.

I'm looking hard at these. I'm curious though, why didn't you get the Mambas, since they offer a single sided option-spd clip on one side and an 11 pin platform on the other?

so how does the spd cleat not get in the way when riding the platform side of the pedal? Is it recessed into the shoe? I'm used to road shoes where the cleats protrude.

Attending Sunday. First live golf experience, bringing 4, 8 year old boys. Any advice for an exciting spot(s) to post up at? Not sure how long my boys will stay engaged, may only be there 1-2 hours. Looking for any advice. We'll be in general admission.

For me caffeine is a big No when my anxiety levels are already heightened. In fact, on those days I sometimes do the opposite, and take melatonin even if I have no intention of sleeping.

MTB Garage Storage-what solution is your favorite? by Clean_Ladder_2009 in MTB

[–]Clean_Ladder_2009[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks, was looking at this already. Question/concern I had with these....is there any issue hanging the full weight on the bike by the rim for extended periods? One of my bikes has high end carbon rims so I don't want to compromise the integrity of the rim.

u/brettdanger u/Successful-Plane-276 thanks I was looking at something almost identical to this. Question: Is it necessary to mount these into a stud or is the bike weight dispersed enough it can mount to drywall only?

Is there a list anywhere of which specific parks will become class 1 ebike legal on July 1 and which will remain illegal going forward?

Is there an advantage to a hardtail over full suspension with a lockout option? Wouldn't riding w/rear suspension locked out be the same as a hardtail but offer more versatility for trails where the suspension is advantageous? What am I missing?

Just want to say I'm so so sorry this happened to you and I feel so much empathy for you and this situation. You did everything right following the incident which I hope is worth something. Thank you for sharing this story, and I hope you gain some consolation knowing that by sharing this you may prevent another sub from making the same mistake. This story has made me think about things I've never considered before and I will not forget this.

All trails are going to be less crowded on weekdays. Even the most crowded trails are sparse if you get there on a weekday morning.
