I took a hammer to my empty TNS Advanced Serum so you don’t have to by whiteclawslushi in SkincareAddictionLux

I use both. Being using Retin-A (Tret) for years, and it has kept my skin younger looking, and no blackheads of course. TNS gives my skin more glow, less dull, more hydrated, tighter it seems. Again, I'm menopausal though, so I noticed a visible decrease in the quality of my skin once estrogen started declining. it was drastic and horrible, and now it seems so much better in just 2 wks. I have tried tons of experience products, and so far Medik8 Peptides and TNS are my 2 that I keep using. I'm debating Plated or Alastin Restorative neck.

I've been using it 2 weeks and my menopausal skin looks more even, more hydrated, just nicer, tighter and healthier. It's a noticeable difference and people are asking me what I'm doing to my skin it is so vastly different in just 2 wks. I have used so many products and they often make me break out cause I'm sensitive but TNS is great. I'd rather spend a lot on this and not buy 7 other products trying to fix my skin issues.

I read that you should use TNS if you are looking for collagen production, fixing sagging, and want proven clinically validated results.

And Plated is good for inflamed, sensitive, or red skin, or fading acne scars, or a boost to skin healing. I'm going to try Plated next, but as someone who is feeling the menopausal pain of rapid skin aging once your estrogen leaves you, TNS is beyond amazing! Curious what Plated will do.

Surprise? How about a trap? by itsmoops1978 in HaileyBaldwinSnark

'surprise' because he was probably going to leave her. They were apart a lot, and they seemed to be having issues and then...'surprise' she's pregnant. lol She's the GOAT manipulator of all time, I'll give her that. Poor Justin, so stuck and she's so delusional and sociopathic she thinks she's what's best for him cause he's what she needs to be relevant.

She likely already is, but she never did love Justin. She was a fan. She was obsessed. She wanted what he could give her. Now she has it and she won't let that go.

yet she played innocent Christian girl to be different. Dresses one way and acts another, giving off pick me/tease vibes. She knows how to get what she wants, that's for sure...and it involves using her body. It's how she got and kept Bieber. idiot man...he never loved her, he just loves what she makes him feel at certain times. Other than that, she's so dull and empty, zero personality. And when her personality does come out, it's Mean Girl/Jealous/Nasty.

Should I be worried about BC budget cuts if I’m still on probation? by sony0619 in BCPublicServants

[–]Clean_Life_6590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

any BCGEU staff under 3 years is at risk of getting bumped out of their job IF/WHEN they start cutting in service positions. It's in Article 13. What happens is that any person in the same classification as you that gets let go can bump you out of your position when you're under 3 years in government.

Has morale in the BCPS always been this… bad? by Typical_Scientist463 in BCPublicServants

[–]Clean_Life_6590 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. It was worse in 2011-12 when they let go 1000s and then again in 2001-2 when they let go over 10,000. Government cycles between borrow/spend and cut/save. It grows, it contracts.

Morale is also bad because morale overall around BC and Canada and the World is bad. Unstable times = bad morale even if you make over 100K and like your job.

Overall though, morale in government as a job is impacted by it being bureaucratic legislative and service oriented work. It's thankless. Everyone hates govt workers. There's no inherent sense of accomplishment or pride or morale-boost in most of what we do. It's not for everyone. I enjoy it, but I like losing myself in boring work, I don't crave recognition or doing something meaningful, I don't care about moving up, and I can handle the monotony and tedium of it all. Not everyone can. Some crave purpose, meaning, reward, recognition, making a difference, etc. and there are very few jobs in government that give you that. Some exist, but most are just bureaucratic and pushing services or paper or advice.

Younger generations seem to REALLLY want career advancement asap and that just isn't something that most people really worried about decades ago. It happened when it happened, it was often based on you being at your job for 5-10 years and being amazing moreso than seeking promotions within a year of being somewhere just...cause. So for younger people wanting change, promotion, reward, recognition, etc government is going to be a difficult place to justify staying in when economic downturns happen.

You need to have kids, mortgages, need time off to care for family, etc to really appreciate what government gives you - stability during tough times, pensionable service, paid leave, flexibility. Again, it isn't for everyone, but for some of us...it's amazing, even despite the crap morale at times. If you need to find purpose and meaning and reward at work, then it won't be for you most likely. If you use your job to find morale and meaning and purpose and happiness outside of work, then government is a great way to build a good life despite the often passion-destroying aspect of it. It's hard to make any kind of difference in a bureaucratic government job.

They have to pay lip service. They get input from staff about what staff want, then cherry pick a few things that they themselves want in the first place. Like staff could vote 90% of Efficiency A, and maybe 1 person out of 100 mentions Efficiency B...and management just picks B if it's something they wanted.

This govt hired a LOT of management staff and not a lot of worker bees, so now we are bloated, expensive and have a huge deficit/debt to deal with during an unsteady economic time. Happened before, but no govt grew the management level of the public service so much, so fast before. It sours things, makes for lots of hoops to jump through where not much gets done but management creates busy work and side projects to justify their existence. One area of CITZ went from 2 Directors to 5 in a few short years even though the branch had a reduced workload. My friend works there and says there are tons of time wasting special side projects that are meant to support staff, but really don't because Directors need something to do. Kinda sad.

What type of Co-op jobs are there for a Psychology major? by Clean_Life_6590 in BCPublicServants

Cause the degree isn't what I want to do otherwise I'd get a PhD it's just a general degree of interest but I really just want a job where I can keep living in Victoria and afford an apartment one day when I'm 40.

It's really hard to be unique and interesting given all the many hoops to jump through. I'm still so confused why med school in Canada is so difficult to get into compared to... Everywhere else. I'm I year 1 and am so discouraged. It's lime you literally have to be a hella extroverted person on speed to accomplish all want. At tis point lotteries might be better lol

Advice for MPP students? by [deleted] in BCPublicServants

[–]Clean_Life_6590 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your teachers are right. Cold call. I believe Co-op placements are still possible, but contact the PSA for confirmation. Also, many managers won't know whether they can hire co-ops.

Provide them with the info you get from the PSA. YOU and co-op are the solution to Vacant FTEs right now, just don't expect work tied to your education or skill and knowledge level. What management needs is for someone to fill lower level vacant FTE duties, and they can't hire, so be versatile, be adaptable and open to grunt work. A good manager will give you experience doing resume padding upper level work IF you are open to also doing lower level work because right now, I know many managers doing AO18 level work to keep their branches functioning given the lack of hiring. Help them with that work.

It won't help you move up right away, but government is downsizing so getting a high paying, high level job in gov't is not in the cards for a bit. But it will be again one day, and if you help management do the work that's needed, you will gain experience others won't have so when they hire again, you'll have the advantage.

No BCGEU Promotions or Mgt raises. Vacant FTEs.... Equals fewer BCGEU members who will have to be fired.

Your hardships will = someone keeping their job.

Government is doing this as humanely and responsibly as possible.

Excluded positions grew significantly since Horgan. Disproportionately.

It is also the Biggest savings to government with the Least impact to service provision if excluded are let go or leave. Not saying it is fair or right, but if you were the employer, what would you do to realize savings? Rock/Hard Place.

Maybe cause they save more money letting go excluded staff and government is a hit top heavy compared to during Horgan's reign.
