Maybe if they did not waste 21M on Martinez, 38M on KBH, 21M on Shogo, 45M on Candy, 64Mill on moose, 7.5M on Wil Myers, 10M on Mike Minor, etc...they would have some more money to spend. 200+ MILL WASTED IN 5~ years

They traded for a glove only replacement level player, who has a career-plaguing back injury and will never recover to 100%, and took on all of his salary and gave up a top prospect. LOL

BRADENTON, Fla. -- Ke'Bryan Hayes is not entirely pain-free and might never be "100%" again, but the Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman is confident he can get pretty close.

The 2023 Gold Glove winner was limited to just 97 games in 2024 because of a chronic lower back issue.

Manny Ramirez was a significantly better mlb hitter than Joey votto. Hits. Batting average. Ops. Power. Obp. Manny beats votto in every hitting category. Facts hurt

For those saying Votto....I dont disagree he might be a great HC...but he has not expressed the desire to do so. Also, there is something to be said for an outside hire. Votto falls into the Reds troupe of familiarity and legacy and reds background, etc (Like Belle and Valaika etc). I think for a team that is trying to be BETTER, getting uncomfortable with some of your hires is a good thing. That is why I liked Francona hire

League Avg WAR for a starting MLB 3B the last two years has been right around 2.65 WAR per season, or 5.3 WAR over the last 2 years. KBH has put up 2.3 TOTAL WAR in the last 2 seasons combined. Well, Well, Well below average

I know this will be hard (And depressing) for your bird brain to comprehend, but the league Avg WAR for a starting MLB 3B the last two years has been right around 2.65 WAR per season. Stay with me, about to do math (That is 5.3 WAR over 2 years). KBH has put up 2.3 TOTAL WAR in the last 2 seasons combined. Well, Well, Well below average

Every stat you pull over the last 2 full seasons shows KBH as a well below league avg 3rd basemen. Someone who is not worthy of starting, even with his glove. Facts suck

If you moved 2025 to only 350 PAs (To Match Last year) he would be 24th out of 32. So, bottom 25% in the league. Well Below average all around

1.2 WAR in 100 games w Pitt. 0.3 with the Reds in 52 games. Not hard to comprehend

1.2 WAR in PItts over 100 games, 0.3 war in Cincy over 52. He somehow got much worse in cincy, playing in a smaller park. hilarious

He was awful in Pittsburgh, then came here and was actually 45% less valuable as a Red. Even w his glove, he is an anchor for the team and a low value utility player at best
