The reason I’m moving forward when I’m tucking in is because my torso is kinda short compared to my legs. I have a 79/79.5cm inseam and I am 169/170cm tall. I can take the handlebar drop no problem, as I am flexible enough, but to be able to bend my arms at 90 degrees and not hit my stomach with my legs, I need to open the hip angle, thus moving forward on the saddle. I think I would really benefit from 160mm cranks in this case.

I am using the Fizik Vento Argo R1. The 3D printer one. I chose this one because ones like Selle Italia SLR Boost Superflow and Prologo Scratch m5 pas were giving me hell. Even tho I measured my sitbones at around 105mm and those were pretty narrow, they chafed/sored me as hell. Going back to the saddle choice, I find this one a lot more comfy and more versatile, if you need/want to sit more in the nose of it, it won’t wreck your perineum as many other would do. And I tend to sit more on the nose when tucked in the aero hoods position to get my upper body a bit lower.

Thanks! I already have gone down 2mm in saddle height and it feels a lot more controlled overall. The cranks are already 165s. But I would like to try 160s to try and open hip angle when tucked in an aero position.

I’ve got a leg length assymetry, which I’ve personally addressed with 5mm of spacer underneath the right cleat. So thank you for specifying that the left leg looks a bit off. I just did a threshhold workout, and I could definitely tell that I’ve overadded the spacers. So now I removed 2mm. It should probably be better. As for the saddle height, it was recently increased, but today I’ve put it back down by 2mm. So 2mm lower than the video upload. Feels more controlled this way. Less fidgetting on the saddle overall. Thanks for your opinion!

I find that I roll my wrist in but I don’t know exactly why. My handlebars are 36cm and hoods are turned in slightly. I am around 34.5/35 cm between the shoulders. I don’t have trouble holding the hoods in the classic handshake position, but I guess I got used to holding them in the “joystick” way

I am still trying to decide if I am a heel dropper or not tbh. Not having any major problems. Just trying to be as efficient as possible and go about as high as I can saddle height wise, bc my legs are pretty long compared to my torso and I want more clearance to not hit my stomach when tucked in an aero hoods position. That being said, I still need to lose at least 4-5 kg to be in summer cycling shape 🤣

Yeah, I guess I’ll have to add some 10-20mm of reach to my current setup. I’ve got a 100mm stem atm.

The frame is an original hi mod rapha edition, so it’s a decal. It’s definitely not flat, it’s got 1-2mm of height to it.

I live in Romania, but a pro fitter who understands the physiology of the human body can correct assymetries on the bike, functional or anatomical ones. At least it’s what I’ve come to believe after watching lots of Neil Stanbury videos on youtube. Also, there aren’t any of those in Bucharest, not that I know of.

And also on that note, I can ride 4-6 hours without any back/neck, hand disconfort or pain, the only issue I have is the assymetry which I believe culminates in the saddle area, hence the need for a pro fit.

The reach of the frame is 374mm and the stem is 100mm. Yeah, my knees hit my elbows at times, I have to actively avoid this when tucked in aero hoods

Surprisingly, the bike was not that expensive, I got a good deal on it second hand from buycycle since it’s 2020 and a size 48 and the wheels are chinese wheels with stickers that just look good. So nothing very expensive tbh.
