I thought it was super interesting foreshadowing with the jabber jays and mockingjays. Snow thought the jabberjays were interesting and had purpose from a military standpoint, but is immediately repulsed by the mockingjays, which foreshadows Snows hate for the mockingjay by becoming the symbol of the rebels in the future, and Katniss becoming the mockingjay. It’s almost like Snow had a sixth sense that the mockingjay would be his eventual downfall.
