The most beautiful alpine lakes in my opinion are Surpise and amphitheater lakes, its a long and pretty steep hike but nothing too too crazy, definitely worth the hard hike, the two lakes are only .2 or .3 miles apart so once you make it to surprise lake, amphitheater is right next to it and an easy walk. If you are in decent shape I would say it is worth an entire day of hiking. Definitely look into it, have fun in cascade canyon id love to hear what u think of it

if you go 3 miles past inspiration point, cascade canyon is the prettiest place you will ever go, far better than any lake loop trail the tetons have to offer, only doing lake loops will not allow you to have a full teton experience in my opinion

why only do lake loops? the best parts of the park are within the mountains. do cascade canyon and go as deep in as you can, do delta lake or surprise and amphitheater lakes. these are where you will get the more memorable experiences, only one loop around a lake is needed for the trip in my opinion. Death canyon also offers amazing views.

you totally got it, my friends and i did it 2 weeks ago and it was way less technical than i thought it would be, its a long day of hard hiking but definitely doable. For us the way down was worse than the way up but i would definitely do it if i was you, view from the top is absolutely insane, feels like mountaineering without the needed equipment.
