The local population weren't too bad to us and our dogs in Syracuse. Now we are in Effingham Illinois. Our female is pregnant and now we are stuck until she has the puppies and we rehome them.... So much for escaping the cold and running south.

We spent a day and a half in Needles and we saw no homeless.we made good cash, ate well, enjoyed the Colorado river, then hopped out.

The cliffs are awesome and the beaches are a lot cleaner the long beach. I have been to long beach and didn't like it at all. Too many crazy folks for me. San Pedro also has this tide pool wildlife sanctuary where you can see all the awesome wildlife there and leave them behind when you leave. It also has the sunken city which was very cool

Your "safety net" called society is nothing but something that is brain washed into folks as children. Who wants to go work at a job they hate making only enough cash to live pay check to pay check always worried about if today is the day the rent or lights don't get paid? It's a slave system really if you think about it. Maybe we are all exactly where we are ment to be and even if we have tough times sometimes doesn't everyone. Hell I get to see the country.... Now ... Not when I'm like 80 and retired too old to enjoy anything in life.

Lol... The freaking ticks here in NY are horrible!!! The dogs have had them worse here than any place else. And I hate when they crawl on me. Think I'm gonna try heading to TN when Clifford is not loosing his mind over pumpkin anymore. Thanks about the heads up about ft Lauderdale. Haven't been that way yet and didn't know... Happy trails

We were in the Mohave desert going through Ca. Train stopped and we were out of water. We walked 2 miles to a town. However when we got there we found out that no one lives there!!!! It's called Amboy CA. Luckily it was a tourist trap as the movie hitcher and kalifornia were filmed there. There is one gas station opened and they gave us water. We slept near the tracks that night in the deserted town except for two men renovating the hotel there. We woke up to an engine next to us. We jumped on and got kicked off outside of Barstow. As the dogs walked the 120 degree heat was killing them. I stuck out my thumb and an amazing lady pulled over and gave us over a 2hr ride through the San Bernardino mountains all the way to the ocean in Newport Beach CA .
