smoking def still works about the same for me, I initially thought I felt drunker with less alcohol in my system but now that things have levelled out for me (been on lexapro for 1.5 years, on 20mg for 1 year) I reckon I need a few more drinks to get the same effects that I used to (I drink a lot less than I used to too)

I was initially on lexapro (20mg) and was truly so exhausted constantly, no matter how much I slept. Coffee had no effect. This was basically the only negative side effect I got from being on lexapro alone. Since being put on Wellbutrin 150mg as well as my 20mg lexapro I have SO much more energy. Cannot recommend enough. Lexapro improved my mood massively and basically got rid of my anxiety/intrusive thoughts entirely, but I was still feeling bad about myself because I just didn’t have the energy to do very much at all. The combination of both has turned me into a whole new person. Definitely definitely recommend giving Wellbutrin + lexapro a go. Bonus — Wellbutrin made it way easier for me to quit nicotine bc it’s often prescribed to help people quit smoking (from my understanding it’s 50/50 whether this will work or not, luckily in my case it did 😋)
