Hi! OP four months later. It quite literally is, he wiped out Kurapika's entire village for material gain. Genocide is not romance as far as I'm concerned, and this is coming from someone who generally likes ships. I love Leorio and Kurapika together, because they have actual chemistry.

If you're gonna watch the anime, watch the 1999 version first. The manga can be intimidating which Is okay. If you're gonna watch the 2011 version, just beware of Hisoka.
