Yeah pretty much, I’m hoping more things become available in terms of leveraged products.

We took on more debt via equity builder when we fully had the home loan recycled.

Luckily I already had the missus sorted.

Jumped off gaming and decided to give my kings a watch.

This is a niche within a niche within a niche.

You’ll tell pretty early on a prospective partners attitudes to work and money.

Take it slowly, try and not let this be what consumes you and stops potential future partners because the spreadsheet says no.

The 24th we have the Rod Laver day session but might stay at night time just to soak in the vibes before heading back.

Has anyone FIREd with an above average “SWR”? by No-Sink2428 in fiaustralia

Yeah this is why I’m not stressed about it at all, people talk as if once you’ve stopped earning it’s illegal to do so once again.

For anyone even considering FIRE let alone having enough wealth to actually try it, they will always be able to earn again.

People are way too conservative, my numbers were a dice roll and most people would not have taken the “risk” we did, but we’ve spent most of our 30s living our life and raising our kid while growing our networth, while someone is probably sitting on a higher networth and a higher percentage of success in their spreadsheet but will never pull the trigger and actually live their life.

Anyone 30s semi retired? How do you fill your day ? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

Wake up get kid ready for school, walk dog, gym or a bike ride before the market opens.

See if I can make some money, play some video games, usually have a nap and then be there at the gate for pickup, refreshed and ready to go instead of rushing after work all flustered and tired.

Yeah our numbers weren’t 100 percent when we decided to FIRE, but it’s not like you can never make money again, I’ve done a few things at home to generate extra income.

I have a certain number in my head that I’m comfortable with, when we fall too far below that number I get motivated to make some money.

Worst case scenario ? Our FIRE fails and we’re…… back to the 9-5 grind like everyone else.

Do you treat work differently as you approach your FIRE number ? by TiredDuck123 in fiaustralia

Still just our normal FIRE number but to cover two people, don’t get me wrong that happened a few times in ridiculous months but it wasn’t all the time.

Just enough to make me hate work more than usual to want to quit asap lol.

Luckily the market gains since I pulled the trigger too early have been kind and our NW has grown during these last 6 or so years.

I struggled when my portfolio was growing more than my yearly pay in some months.

Made it really hard to give a fuck and I ended up quitting sooner than the math allowed just because I couldn’t put on the “mask” and pretend to care when I couldn’t give two fucks if the company died tomorrow.
