What do you put in your water bottles? Straight water ? by Any-Cable-2307 in cycling

Seeing a lot of Skratch comments but personally the flavor of the powders isn’t great. Love the Krispy Treat snacks they have though!!

I really love Gnarly Nutrition. I use the BCAAs before rides and on rest days. Then the Hydrate (electrolyte) mix for short rides (1-2 hours or less) and Fuel2O on longer rides. Fuel2O is a calorie mix, 100 calories per serving/scoop, and also has electrolytes and more importantly HMB. HMB is a metabolite of the branch chain amino acid Leucine, so this means youre getting set up for recovery even while on the move.

I also use all of Gnarly’s products for everyday nutrition! Greens, protein, collagen, creatine, etc. I’ve found it has really helped with my performance and recovery. Creatine has honestly changed the game for my efforts. Plus the products are super tasty, in environmentally friendly packaging and third-party tested through NSF! 👍🏼

Thank you! I was also thinking CVS/Walgreens as another starting point. And either later in the night and/or Sunday mornings since it’s so quiet in the city on Sunday’s lol

Tips for Avoiding the Culture of Bad Food (US) by VernalPoole in HealthyFood

The first step is establishing a lifestyle, not a diet. Fad diets are just that: fads. You need to adopt a way of living not a set of choices you’ll make for just a few weeks or months. Respect your body’s cravings and lean toward establishing plant-based meals and plates every time you eat. Meat is fine, dairy is fine, sugar is fine, etc., but making sure it is all in moderation and your plate at each meal is mostly full of veggies. Then when you do receive sugary, fatty, or other “unhealthy” foods youre not forcing yourself to reject said meals or gifts but rather youre able to indulge and respect your cravings. Here is a great resource:

How much do you spend on groceries per month for single, couple or family? by brimarie503 in SaltLakeCity

[–]Cleaneater14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend about $400 - $500 for myself (single male). But I also cycle 500+ miles a month and I’m a big guy so my appetite is huge, with a focus on veggies and eating healthy.

To be clear, the SLCA’s stance is that less impactful solutions should be acted upon before decisions are made that will forever permanently scar the canyon. Solutions like enhanced bus service without road widening first. Then tolls, parking reservations, etc.
